What is social media
Social media is about creating a relationship with your contacts, adding value to each other, participating in discussions and being of service to others
YOUR VIRTUAL COMMUNITY
Why am I here?
Your objectives:1. To raise awareness about the archive2. To publicize our events (workshops)3. To attract new volunteers4. To encourage people to donate their stories5. To attract sponsors6. To attract researchers
So, how can we achieve it by social media?
Plan of action
1. Analyze who we are contacting now
2. Think about who else can help us reach our objectives
3. Find out where they are (online and offline)
4. Approach them and build a relationship with them
5. Continue the dialogue with those who have approached us!
Where are we now?
Way forward phase 1
1. Continue looking for the people we targeted (web search or recommendations)
2. Create content that is relevant to our contacts
3. Manage feedback(check/respond daily)
4. Monitor, Measure & Actions
