Why use Peer Education• Young people appreciate and are influenced in

positive ways by their peers

• It is a more fun way to learn

• It can give participants legitimacy to talk more freely

• Participants feel more empowered and develop confidence

Serving as a peer educator provides a rewarding opportunity to young people to develop their leadership skills
