Invitation to Exhibitors
Delivering Workplace Safety+HealthExcellence of Tomorrow
Established as Asia’s leading and most dynamic exhibition for everyone involved in workplace safety and health, OS+H Asia 2016 will bring all professionals in the OSH sector closer to new insights, challenges and innovations that can help them attain the highest safety and health standards.
In recent years, ASEAN member countries have made rapid progress in raising OSH standards. With the aim to implement international OSH requirements across Asia’s booming infrastructure development market, vibrant manufacturing and construction landscape, producers, manufacturers, suppliers and distributors of safety products and solutions will play a key role in helping businesses achieve safety excellence.
The upsurge from key sub-segments of occupational safety and health such as fall protection, workplace ergonomics and fire safety equipment will drive OS+H Asia 2016 bringing key technological innovations that serves the industry’s commitment towards developing a proactive and preventive approach to safety and health in the workplace.
Singapore adopts a national, strategic and long term approach to achieve sustainable, continuous improvement in workplace safety and health performance. WSH 2018, the National Strategy for Workplace Safety and Health for Singapore, aims to bring down the national fatality rate to less than 1.8 per 100,000 workers by 2018, and thus achieve one of the best safety records in the world.
The Ministry of Manpower places considerable emphasis on inculcating a culture of safety and health in all workplaces, and reinforcing the message that poor safety management could lead to costly losses.
Since 2009 the Indonesian government has developed a national framework and programs on cultivating occupational safety and health at work places. This aim to enhance occupational safety and health as an effort to reduce and prevent working accidents and work related diseases. It also provides a guideline to promote, establish, develop and supervise the implementation of occupational safety and health.
Under the Directorate of OSH under DG of Labor Supervision, the vision is for occupational safety and health to become part of Indonesian work culture.
Ministry of Labour has declared 2015 as the year to build up safety awareness at work “Safety Mind”. It is recognised that labour is the main factor to strengthen the economic system and ensure active trade liberalization with security by 2016. Collaboration from all relevant sectors is considered necessary to achieve the following objectives:
• Labour in all sectors work under a safe environment
• Workers’ awareness and knowledge on OSH are improved
• OSH information is fully accessible by the workers
• Workers are protected under effective health and safety surveillance system
• Safety culture is built-up among workers

The Occupational Safety and Health Master Plan 2015 (2010-2015) (OSH-MP 15) is currently in the middle stage of a series of three consecutive 5-year action plans that began in 2005, culminating in 2020 with the achievement of a nationwide safety culture. The first stage ended in 2010 and was targeted towards spreading out OSH ownership to all key stakeholders and social partners. OSH-MP 15, as the second stage, focuses on building and sustaining the culture of self-regulation.
The main aim of the OSH-MP 15 is to build a safe, healthy and productive pool of human capital by creating, cultivating and sustaining a safe and healthy work culture in all organisations throughout Malaysia.
