ANO Chapter Meeting Minutes Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. Alpha Nu Omega Alumni Chapter July 5, 2016 -The meeting was called to order at 6:31pm by Polaris John Branch Jr. -The prayer was led by Bro. Jarvis Mock. -Bro. Freddie Green Jr. led the Recitation of Stars. -Quorum was achieved. Financial brothers present include Justin, Tremaine, Freddie, Ryan, John, Bryan, Jarvis, and Julius (EA) -A motion to accept the minutes was moved and properly seconded by Bros. Bryan Thompson and Green Jr. (motion carries) -A motion to accept the June meeting minutes with the necessary corrections was moved and properly seconded by Bros. Green Jr. and Mock. (motion carries) -The ANO Chapter is financial -24 brothers are locally financial/goal is 25 I. -Community Service a. Alief Literacy Festival-July 15, 2016 3:00pm i. Alief-Amity Park-12509 Alief Clodine, Houston, Texas 77082 b. Voter Deputization Training i. ANO, Urban League, SG Rho will participate ii. Urban League HQ-Downtown Houston-6:00pm II. –State/Regional/National Information a. –brothers interested in running for Regional positions must email resume to Elections Committee b. –Spring Super Regional Conference-Houston, Texas a) Southern/Far West Regions b) Whitehall Hotel-Downtown c) March 30-April 2, 2016 d) More details to follow III. –NPHC-Houston a. a. Will register 3 members Blazers and Bowties-July 9, 2016 9:00 am b. Wesley Elem. would like ANO to adopt a group of students to mentor.

VI. –Old Business

a. Founder’s Day events will be voted on during August meeting. VII. –New Business

a. Review community service report. Motion to accept proposal for flag fundraiser was made by Vice Polaris Ryan Johnson Sr. The motion was no seconded. (motion denied) -Meeting adjourned at 7:15 pm
