TRANSCRIPT
Welcome to the latest edition of ‘IPAA Connect’, a weekly collection of
curated content and resources from across the public sector.
This week our Work with Purpose podcast features Michael Outram APM,
Commissioner of the Australian Border Force, and Reece Kershaw APM,
Commissioner of the Australian Federal Police. It's interesting to hear their
reflections on some of the law enforcement challenges during a pandemic.
Next week's podcast discussion is with Mike Burgess, the Director-
General of Security, Australian Security Intelligence Organisation. Mike
will share with us some of the challenges ASIO is facing and will also talk
about transparency and leadership.
Shortly we'll be bringing you some perspectives from outside of the
Australian Public Service. Last week our National President, Dr Gordon de
Brouwer PSM, interviewed Chris Eccles AO, the Secretary of the
Department of Premier and Cabinet in Victoria. It's a great discussion and
I look forward to sharing it with you.
If you have any areas you're keen for us to feature, email me here.

AT HOME WITH IPAA (WELL, SORT OF BACK TO WORK WITH IPAA)
Welcome to IPAA's new in-house studio.
In response to putting our face-to-face events on hold, and not wanting to waste the excellent content we
had in the pipeline, we've turned our hands to pre-recording and live-streaming events and producing
podcasts...with some expert technical assistance to ensure quality, of course!
Here we're testing the equipment and also trialling Microsoft Teams as a live-streaming and webinar
platform, as we work towards improving accessibility for IPAA members by delivering online events using
GovTEAMS.
IPAA is happy to partner on events with departments that use the studio. Email us to find out more.
