iPhone Email• After choosing
“Mail” from the home screen you should see this. We are not listed as a provider so you will choose the option “Other”.
iPhone Email• From here, enter all
your required account information and hit Save at the top right hand corner.
• Continue to next page to see full example…
iPhone Email• This is all the account
information filled out.
• (This is our test account, don’t use the same information.)
iPhone Email• Now, from this page
you will enter all the server information.
• First thing, choose POP at the top of the page, as you will be using a POP account not IMAP.
• Scroll down to see additional information…
iPhone Email• After scrolling down, the
first option is Incoming mail Server.
• Our Host Name is just as you see it in the picture.
• You will need to make sure the User Name is your FULL EMAIL ADDRESS.
iPhone Email• Now, last option on this
page is Outgoing Mail Server. Fill out this information accordingly as well.
• Host Name is same as you see it in the picture.
• User Name and password ARE optional on this page.
• Choose “Save” at the top of the page.
iPhone Email• You may see this page
while it is in the process of verifying your account information. If you do see this you are going to choose “Yes”. We do not want to use SSL but the mail program try’s to use it by default.
iPhone Email• That should conclude
setting up the email account but we aren’t finished. Now we are going to change the Outgoing Server so you never have problems sending.
• Lets choose “Settings”from the home screen.
iPhone Email• Scroll down in the
Settings Menu until you see “Mail, Contact, Calendars”option and click that.
iPhone Email• Now, there is only
one option listed under “Primary Server” and it should be turned ON. Your going to click on that server.
iPhone Email• Once your in this page we
are going to turn off the NewWave Server for sending mail because it will be more versatile to send VIA AT&T’s Outgoing Mail Server.
• All you need to do is slide the switch to OFF position and go back a page by clicking “SMTP” at the top left hand corner.
iPhone Email• When back to this
page we are now going to turn the AT&T Server on.
• First just click on the AT&T server in the list.
