Biocontrol-based IPM

• NOT the same as a pesticide program (reactive)

• Preventative, long-term approach

‒ Applications/releases made before pests observed

‒ Repeated as-needed

• Pest ID essential, environmental conditions suit the BCA

• Where possible, production methods should support biocontrol
