your desired date have already been selected by someone else.

MAY 21, JUNE 4 & 25, JULY 9, 16, 23, & 30

ARE AVAILABLE DATES TO SIGN UP FOR SANCTUARY FLOWERS

There is also space to sign up for placing flowers in the narthex if the

sanctuary flowers for your desired date have already been selected by someone else.

Please remember these important points:

1. Include your best contact number.

2. Include the name of your florist.

3. Tell your florist that the arrangement must be at the church by Friday, 1:30 p.m.

4. Call the office the week before to give bulletin information (294-3121.)

Never given sanctuary or narthex flowers before and wonder what to do?

Follow these simple instructions:

1. Sign your name on the calendar for the date you wish to give flowers. If the sanctuary spot has already

been selected, then you can choose to have your floral arrangement in the narthex for the same date.

2. Complete this step by giving your phone number and identifying your florist.

3. If giving sanctuary flowers and you would like to use the church’s brass urn, please ask Ann or Sam for

the glass liner and deliver it to your florist or ask the florist to pick it up at the church.

4. Place an order for flowers from your preferred florist.

5. Call Connie at the church office (294-3121) no later than Wednesday prior to your chosen date and

inform her as to how you wish for the acknowledgment of flowers to read in the bulletin.

6. Request that the florist deliver the flowers to the church by noon on Saturday and have them include a

name on the arrangement so that we know by whom they are given and where they are to be placed.

Any other questions, please call Alan or Connie. Thank you!

CIRCLE MEETINGS

We are using the PW Horizons Bible study titled: "Who Is Jesus? What a Difference a Lens Makes."

Study books are available for $8.00. Contact either Carol Carter at 299-4253 or Sue McClew at 875-6176 for book or with any questions.

Lydia Circle meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 10:00 a.m. in McLeod Hall. The next meeting is May 8.

JOIN ONE OF OUR YOUTH GROUPS

If you are a middle or high school student, we would love for you to join us for youth group each week in our

youth house, The Golden Center. Middle School meets each Wednesday night from 5:30-7:30 and High

School meets each Sunday night from 5:30-7:30. During this time we spend time together sharing meals,

growing in Christ, playing games, and having LOTS of fun!

Once a month we meet outside the Golden Center to be the hands and feet of Jesus to help

people in our community. We have laid sod for Habitat for Humanity, worked in our soup

kitchen feeding the homeless, and bagged countless lunches for our bag lunch ministry.

These are just a few ways we are the hands and feet of Jesus.

Sometimes we get together simply to have fun. We have been to the corn maze in the dark,

Fun Spot, pool parties, camp outs, paint balling, and so much more. Upcoming events

being planned are: a Chain of Lakes canoe cookout and Ice Skating. If you are looking to

connect with young people your age while developing a deep relationship with Christ,

come and join us. We would love to have you!

A GREAT WAY YOU CAN HELP A HURTING FRIEND

Do you have a friend, neighbor, coworker, or relative who has

suffered a loss or is going through a difficult time? Here's a

great way you can help them--tell them about our Stephen

Ministry! Stephen Ministers are members of First

Presbyterian Church who have received special training to

provide high quality, confidential, one-to-one, Christian care

to hurting people. Stephen Ministers meet weekly with their

care receivers to listen, care, encourage, and provide

emotional and spiritual support. (Males are matched with

males, and females are matched with females.) The caring

relationship lasts for as long as the person needs care. It's free,

and it's a powerful way you can help a hurting friend.

To learn how to connect someone you know with a Stephen Minister, call Pat Reass at 206-9914. Or you can

talk with one of our other Stephen Leaders: Alan Harvey, Mary Marrs, Steve Negley, Les O’Neal,

Barbara Perkins, or Jean Strang. Our Stephen Ministers are there to care!

helps the congregation in adoring and showing reverence to God. Following the Time with Younger Disciples,

children are invited to join Ms. Lynn in music and then to join in their own Children’s Sunday School Classes.

11:00 a.m. ~ Sanctuary Worship

A traditional worship service held in our sanctuary: The service follows the same order as the 8:15 a.m. Chapel
