March 11, 2018 The Fourth Sunday of Lent

And this is the verdict, that the light came into the world, but people preferred darkness to light, because their works were evil. For every-one who does wicked things hates the light and does not come toward the light, so that his works might not be exposed. - Jn 3:19-20

Family Perspective Today’s gospel speaks of light and darkness. There are times when darkness can seem com-forting when it makes no demands on us. Light disturbs when it forces us to squint, refocus and take action regard-ing what we see. In lights we see others clearly as they are. In families, the challenge is always to live in the light — not in avoidance or denial.
