Die Koaxial-Buchsen und Stecker für dieMontage in Kontaktträger CT-E8-2 be-stehen aus aktiven Teilen vonBNC-Steckverbindern. Der Anschlussdes Innenleiters und der Schirmung fürKoaxialkabel des Typs RG58 1) undRG59 1) erfolgt durch Crimpen. Für denSchirmanschluss liegt eine Messinghül-se bei. Die Koaxial-Steckverbinder sindgemäss CECC 22 120 ausgelegt.

Coaxial connectors

Coaxial connectors for the CT-E8-2 con-tact carriers consist of the active partsof BNC connectors. Termination of theinner conductor and shield for coaxiallead type RG58 1) and RG59 1) is ef-fected by crimping. For the shield termi-nation a brass crimping sleeve isdelivered. The coaxial connectors aredesigned according to CECC 22 120.

Für optimale Messergebnis-se ist es notwendig, dass die Kontakteund die Leitungen der ganzen Messket-te aus dem gleichen Material sind.MC hat zu diesem Zweck Thermoele-ment-Druckkontakte aus den 7 ge-bräuchlichsten Materialien entwickelt(Chromel, Konstantan, Eisen, Alumel,Nicrosil, Nisil und Kupfer).

Thermocouple allow the precise mea-surement of temperatures. The combi-nation of two wires made from differentmaterials generates a voltage that variesaccording to the temperature level.There are several types of thermocouplesmade from different materials adapted tothe measured temperature range accor-ding to standard DIN EN 60584.MC thermocouple contacts are adaptedfor 5 different types of probes: E, J, K,N and T. In order to obtain an optimummeasurement result, it is necessary touse contacts made of the same materialas the wires all over the chain. Technische HinweiseSchiebekräfteDie Gesamtschiebekraft eines Steckver-binders errechnet sich aus der Summeder Schiebekräfte aller Einzelkontakte.Die angegebenen Werte sind Zirkawer-te und können sich nach einigen Steck-vorgängen um 20 – 30% reduzieren.

SteckzyklenDie maximale Steckhäufigkeit für Combi-Tac Steckverbinder beträgt 5000 Steckun-gen. Höhere Steckzyklen, auf Anfrage.

Verriegelungszyklen DIN-GehäuseMax. 500 Verriegelungszyklen ohneSchmierung. Bei bis zu 5000 Verriege-lungszyklen muss eine Schmierung vor-genommen werden. Siehe Schmierhin-weis in der Montageanleitung MA213.

Bemessungsstromist der Strom, den ein Steckverbindergleichzeitig durch alle Kontakte dauerndführen kann, ohne dass dabei die obereGrenztemperatur überschritten wird. Dieangegebenen Stromwerte wurden gem.UL 1977 ermittelt (4 stündiger Temperatur-test, die Kontakte in Serie angeschlossen).

Gebündelte LeitungenBei gebündelten Leitungen am Combi-Tac muss ein Reduktionsfaktor für dieLeitungen berücksichtigt werden. DieDerating Diagramme auf den Seiten 69 –70 zeigen verschiedene Beispiele für ge-bündelte Leitungen, mit unterschiedli-chen Cu-Querschnitten, die für die An-wendung mit CombiTac geeignet sind.Die aufgeführten Leitungen sind PVC-isoliert mit erhöhter Wärmebelastbarkeit(max. zulässige Leitertemperatur von90°C) gem. DIN VDE 0298, Teil 4). Fürandere Anzahlen gebündelter Leiter oderLeitungstypen gelten andere DeratingFaktoren.

Bemessungsspannungabgeleitet aus der Spannung Leiter-Erdegem. IEC 60664-1. Im Betrieb ergibt sichdie Bemessungsspannung entweder auseinem System mit 3-Phasen, 4-Leiter,geerdet oder 3-Phasen, 3-Leiter, ungeer-det oder um ein System mit 1 Phase,2-Leiter, AC oder DC. Überspannungskategorie CAT II(IEC 60664-1)gilt für elektrische Betriebsmittel in Ge-räten, in denen keine Blitzspannungenberücksichtigt werden müssen, wohlaber Überspannungen die durch Schalt-vorgänge entstehen könnten.Beispiele: elektrische Betriebsmittelzwischen Gerät und Steckdose, inner-halb elektrischer Geräte und Ein-gangstrafo, Haushaltsgeräte.

Bundled wiringWhen the connecting wiring to CombiTacconnectors is bundled a derating factormust be applied. The derating diagramson pages 69 – 70 shows examples ofvarious numbers of bundled conductorsfor the different copper cross sectionsused with CombiTac. The wire typereferred to is PVC insulated for highertemperatures (max. permitted conductortemperature of 90°C) according to DINVDE 0298 part 4. Rated voltageThis is derived from the line-to-earth(ground) voltage AC or DC accordingto IEC 60664-1. In service, the ratedvoltage is dependent on whether thesupply is three-phase four-wire withearthed (grounded) neutral, three-phasethree-wire unearthed (not grounded) orsingle-phase two-wire AC or DC. The ta-ble on page 73 shows maximum sys-tem voltages.

Overvoltage categories CAT II(IEC 60664-1)Equipment of Overvoltage Category II isenergy-consuming equipment to besupplied from the fixed installation.Examples: of such equipment arehousehold appliances and portabletools.

Tension assignéeIl s’agit de la tension dérivée de la ten-sion conducteur-terre conformément àCEI 60664-1. En exploitation, la tensionassignée est obtenue à partir d’un sys-tème à 3 phases, 4 conducteurs, avecterre ou 3 phases, 3 conducteurs, sansterre ou encore d’un système 1 phase,2 conducteurs, AC ou DC. Le tableaupage 73 donne les tensions de systèmemaximales.

SiliconfreiDie Kontaktträger der CombiTac Steck-verbinder sind siliconfrei und somit nichtlackbenetzungsstörend.

Durchgangswiderstandwird ermittelt über den Spannungsab-fall, gemessen jeweils beim Leitungsan-schluss des Stifts und der Buchse. Dieangegebenen Werte sind Mittelwerteund abgeleitet aus dem Bemessungs-strom nach 100 Steckzyklen.

Hinweise zur SicherheitSchutz gegen elektrischen SchlagEin Steckverbinder muss so gebaut sein,dass nach der Montage die spannungs-führenden Teile des Steckverbinders mitdem Prüffinger nach IEC 60529, Ab-schnitt 5, bei Verwendung einer Prüfkraftvon 20N nicht berührbar sind. Diese An-forderung gilt nicht für einen Steckverbin-der, bei dem der Berührungsschutz durchEinbaumassnahmen oder durch das Anle-gen einer Sicherheitskleinspannung(SELV) von AC 33V eff. oder DC 70V im(am) Endprodukt sichergestellt wird.

Safety notesProtection against electric shockA connector shall be so designed that,after mounting, its live parts are not ac-cessible by the IEC test finger in accor-dance with clause 5 of IEC 60529 usinga test force of 20N.This requirement does not apply to aconnector in which protection againstelectric shock is ensured by mountingprovisions or by using safety extra-lowvoltage (SELV) of AC 33V rms or DC70V in the end-use product.

Conditions of Acceptability In order to be judged acceptable as a component of electrical equipment, the following conditionsshould be met.

2. These devices have been subjected to the Temperature test within the provided housings with the rated currents and maxi-mum temperature rise values tabulated below. The conductors terminated by the device and other associated componentsare to be reviewed in the end-use to determine whether the temperature rise from the connector exceeds their maximumoperating temperature ratings.

3. These devices may be used at potentials not exceeding 600V based on Dielectric Voltage-Withstand testing conducted be-tween adjacent poles and between live parts and dead metal at 2,200V ac. These devices meet the minimum 1/8 inch(3.2mm) spacings required by UL 1977 for devices not exceeding 600V.

4. The operating temperature of these devices should not exceed the temperature ratings of the insulating materials. These ma-terials may be used interchangeably at a maximum temperature of 90°C. Mold Stress Relief testing was conducted at a tem-perature of 100°C.

5. The acceptability of the quick-connect tab as a grounding terminal shall be determined in the end-use.

6. The printed-wiring-board terminals have not been evaluated for mechanical secureness. The construction of the connector isto be reviewed when it is assembled to the particular printed wiring board used in the end-use application.

7. The strain relief device on the housing of the connectors has not been evaluated. This construction shall be determined in theend-use.
