APPRECIATION
Thank you to everyone who made SIU Day of Giving (Wednesday March 1, 2017) a
success.
On March 1, 2017, members of the SIU
community joined for an extraordinary day of
giving back. The goal was simple: to inspire
Salukis everywhere to come together, demonstrate
their pride for SIU, and provide essential funding
to support SIU students and help shape the
University.
As shown on the “Donor Wall” (https://siuday.siu.edu/giving-day/1003/department/1378 ),
CASA has raised $9,413 from 113 gifts. Among them, the following people contributed an
investment in our ISAT students’ success. We are thankful for your generosity.

team leader Lee Cooper, Ren Jing, Hallie Martin, Matt Gross, and Cody Lingle.
This year’s project was a fully functioning web site for the Ascend RSO in the College of
Business on the campus of SIUC. The project began in September 2016, with deliverables
throughout the fall and spring semesters. The project culminated with a formal presentation
judged at the AITP NCC in St. Louis in April. Students were judged on a variety of criteria, but
primarily their development process. This year’s team is following the agile Scrum approach to
manage the project. The team placed third at 2017 AITP NCC.
