UHEAT RECOVERY STEAM GENERATOR (HRSG) Isolation Of L.P. Feed Water Pumps # LAC 10AP001 / LAC 20AP001 / LAC30AP001:

1- Stop the pump. 2- Electrically, local MCB off . 3- Racked out the Circuit breaker to test position, locked out by using pad lock, tag out by

using warning signs 4- Close suction isolating valve # LAB 13/16/19 AA001 respectively. 5- Close discharge isolating valve # LAB 14/17/20 AA002. 6- Close Minimum flow isolating valve # LAB 15/18/21 AA001. 7- Open suction line drain LAB 13/16/19 AA200. 8- Isolated valves should be locked out and tagged out

UNote:

UIf the pump going to major overhaul the instruments are disconnected by IMD and electrical terminals disconnected by EMD.

LP Feed Water Pumps De-Isolation LAC 10/20/30 AP001:

1- Remove all pad locks 2- Remove all warning signs 3- Close suction drain valve LAB 13/16/19 AA200. 4- Open minimum flow valve LAB 15/18/21 AA001and chain locked . 5- Open suction manual valve LAB 13/16/19 AA001. 6- Open suction drain valve LAB 13/16/19 AA200 till solid. water comes (as vent) then

close. 7- Open manual valve LAB 30AA001 (HRSG 11&22 only).keep valve LAB30AA005

closed 8- Open manual drain valve LAB 30AA205. 9- Remove all pad locks 10- Remove all warning signs 11- Open discharge valve LAB 51/54/57 AA002 till water comes from the drain valve

LAB 30AA205 & close discharge valve. 12- Close manual drain valve LAB 30AA205. then close discharge valve 13- Electrically local MCB switch ON & circuit breaker racked in. 14- Start the pump and open discharge valve LAB 14/17/20 AA002 gradually. 15- Be sure that LP feed water system in normal mode.

Isolated valves should be locked out and tagged out 4- Circuit breaker racked out. 5- Close suction isolating valve LAB 50/53/56 AA001. 6- Close discharge isolating valve LAB 51/54/57 AA002. 7- Close Minimum flow isolating valve LAB 52/55/58 AA001. 8- Close balance valve LAC 41/51/61 AA001. 9- Close cooling water inlet and outlet valves. 10- Open suction lines drain LAB 50/53/56 AA200. 11- If the motor is to be disconnected, temporary space heat is to be connected by the EMD.

for the pump) 8- Open discharge isolating valve LAB 51/54/57 AA002 9- Electrically supply switch ON. 10- Circuit breaker switch ON.

1) If the LP feed water pumps S/D (i.e. block out of service ) LP pumps electrical supplies switch off.

2) If there any work inside HRSG modules, Gelatin must be installed. LP Feed Water System De-Isolation:

1- Close drain valve LAB 40AA200. 2- Close LP Mix. Eco. Common drain valve HAC 10AA240. 3- Close manual drain valve HAC 10AA290. 4- Close manual drain valve HAC 30AA215. 5- Open manual valve LAB30AA005 party till flow sound disappear (i.e. Pressure balanced)

& wait till solid water comes out from LP Mix. Eco. Common vent HAC 10AA285. 6- Close LP Mix-Eco common vent valve HAC 10AA285. 7- Close LP mix eco. Drain valves, HAC10AA200,205, 210, 215, 220, 225, 230, 235 8- Close LP mix eco. HP Feed Water System: Isolation HP Feed Water drum Control Valve LAB 70AA101: (A) While HRSG in service:

1- Keep in contact with DCS operator. 2- Open bypass valve LAB 71AA101 gradually. 3- Keep an eye on control valve local indication the control valve will start to close gradually,

while DCS operator audit the level in the HP drum. 4- When the control valve open 0%, i.e. the water passes through the bypass & HP drum

level is stable. 5- Close isolation valve LAB 70AA001 with co-ordination with DCS operator.

UImportant Note : At that point the level in the drum may decrease, that is because the control valve was passing.

6- Close the isolation valve LAB 70AA002. 7- Open the control valve, LAB70AA101 8- Open the drain valve LAB 70AA210, 215. 9- Close the instrument air valve.

UNote: If the control valve is going for major overhaul the instruments are to be

disconnected by IMD. De- Isolation Of HP Feed Water Control Valve LAB70AA101: (A) HRSG in service:

1- Open the control valve LAB70AA101 instrument air valve. 2- Keep in contact with DCS operator. 3- Close the control valve LAB70AA101. 4- Close drain valves LAB70AA210, 215. 5- Open isolation valve LAB70AA002. 6- Open isolation valve LAB 70AA001. UNote:

At that point the level in the HP drum may increase, that is because the control valve may passes.

7- Put control valve LAB 70AA101 on auto mode. 8- Start to close bypass valve LAB 71AA101 slowly while keep an eye on control valve

indication with coordination with DCS operator. 9- Full close the bypass valve LAB71AA101 & make sure that the level in HP is stable.

(B) HRSG out of service (LAB70AA101)

1- Open control valve LAB 70AA101 instrument air valve. 2- Open isolation valves LAB 70AA001,002. 3- Close drain valves LAB 70AA210, 215. 4- Close control valve LAB 70AA101.

HRSG Out Of Service: While HP Drum Feed Water Pump In Service Or S/D:

1- Close manual valve LAB 70AA003 2- Close isolation valves LAB 70AA001, 002 3- Close bypass valve LAB 71AA001 4- Open drain valves LAB 70AA210, 215 5- Close instrument air valve.

UNote: UIf feed water temperature ≈ 100 ˚c, keep flow = 1.5 kg/s for 0.5 hour

11- When solid water comes through HP Mix. Eco. Common vent valve HAC 50AA285 close it. And close vent valves HAC50AA245, 250, 255, 260, 265, 270, 275, 280

12- When solid water comes through HP Eco. Common vent valve HAC 60AA288 close it and vent valves, HAC60AA248, 252, 256, 260, 264, 268, 272, 276, 280, 284, 290

Control Valve On Feed Water System:

Low Pressure Feed Water System: (During HRSG in service) Isolate LP Feed Water To LP Drum Control Valve HAC 10AA101:

U(A) HRSG in service: 1- Keep in contact with DCS operator. 2- Open bypass valve HAC 11AA101 gradually. 3- Keep an eye on control valve local indication the control will start to close gradually, while

DCS operator audit the level in the LP drum. 4- When the control valve open 0%, the water flow pass through the bypass & LP drum level

is stable. 5- Close the isolation valve HAC 10AA001 with co-ordination with DCS operator.

UImportant Note : UAt that point the level in the drum may decrease, that is because the control was passing.

6- Close the isolation valve HAC 10AA002. 7- Open the drain valve HAC 10AA290. 8- Open the control valve. 9- Close the instrument air valve. UNote: UIf we are going to major overhaul instruments are to be disconnected by IMD.

De- Isolation LP Feed Water drum Control Valve HAC 10AA101: (A) HRSG in service:

1- Open the control valve HAC 10AA101 instrument air valve. 2- Keep in contact with DCS operator. 3- Close drain valve HAC 10AA290. 4- Close the control valve HAC 10AA101. 5- Open isolation valve HAC 10AA002. 6- Open isolation valve HAC 10AA001. Note: At that point the level in the LP drum may increase, because the control valve may passes. 7- Start to close bypass valve HAC 11AA101 slowly while keep an eye on control valve

indication & coordination with DCS operator. 8- Fully close the bypass valve HAC11AA101 and make sure that the level in the drum is

stable. (B) HRSG out of service:

1- Open control valve HAC 10AA101 instrument air valve. 2- Close control valve HAC 10AA101. 3- Close drain valve HAC 10AA290. 4- Open isolation valves HAC 10AA001,002, 003.

Isolation of LP Mix. Eco. To Dearator Control Valve HAC 30AA121: U(A)HRSG out of service

1- Close valve HAC 30AA003. 2- Close isolation valves HAC 30AA001, 002. 3- Close bypass valve HAC 31AA001. 4- Open drain valve HAC 30AA215. 5- Close instrument air. 6- Ensure that the control valve open.

De-Isolation Of LP Mix. Eco To Dearator: Control valve HAC30AA121 (B) HRSG out of service:

1- Open the control valve HAC 30AA121 instrument air valve. 2- Close the control valve HAC 30AA121. 3- Close drain valve HAC 30AA215. 4- Open manual valve HAC 30 AA003. 5- Open isolation valves HAC 30AA001, 002. 6- Put control valve HAC 30AA121 in auto mode from DCS

Isolation Spray Water Control Valve LAB 20AA106: HRSG in service:

1- GT load must be constant during bypass control v/v in service . 2- Keep in contact with DCS operator. 3- Open the bypass valve LAE 21AA106 gradually. 4- Keep an eye on valve local indication the control valve will start to close gradually while

DCS operator audit the temperature of super heated steam. 5- When the control valve opens 0%, i.e. the water flow passes through the bypass & super

heated stream temperature is stable. 6- Close the isolation valve LAE 20AA001, with coordination with DCS operator.

UNote: At that point the temperature of super heated steam may decrease because the control valve was passing.

7- Close the isolation valve LAE 20AA002. 8- Open the control valve. 9- Open drain valves LAE 20AA200, 210. 10- Close instrument air valve.

temperature. An operator has to stay close to bypass valve LAE21AA106 for open/close the v/v This isolation is not applicable for long time

De-Isolation Of Spray Water Control Valve LAB 20AA106: (A) HRSG in service:

1- Open control valve LAE 20AA106 instrument air valve. 2- Keep in contact with DCS operator. 3- Close drain valves LAE 20AA200, 210. 4- Close the control valve LAE 20AA106 from DCS 5- Open the isolation valve LAE 20AA002. 6- Open the isolation valve LAE 20AA001. Note: At this point super heater steam temperature may decrease because the control valve may passes. 7- Put control valve LAE 20AA106 in auto mode. 8- Start to close the bypass valve LAE 21AA106 slowly, while keeping an eye on control

valve indication & keep in contact with DCS operator. 9- Completely close the bypass valve LAE 21AA106.

(B) HRSG out of service ( during filling of the system):

1- Open control valve LAE 20AA106 instrument air valve operator. 2- Close control valve LAE 20AA106. 3- Open isolation valve LAE 20AA001. 4- Close drain valves LAE 20AA200,210 after solid water comes through. 5- Open manual valve LAE 30AA001. 6- Make sure that isolation valve LAE 20AA002 is open
