This week we have been celebrating thesuccess of SchoolSports at Brampton.Firstly, we looked

over our work through NationalSports Week. Our focus was the Paralympics and children discovered alot about this, from how to cope with a disability to learning new sports. Many classes contributed to the TASC activities, creating something tohelp a Paralympics' athlete. The ideas were extremely creative from atalking hat to specially designed shoes with springs. In our closingceremony we also helped with the World record attempt of the mostamount of people dancing to the same song at the sAme time. All childrenhad been taught the dance previously and had a lot of fun. During this

week we also attended the Partnership games and children across theschool participated in various sports from multi-skills, to boccia and evencycling. A special thanks to the parents (and Miss Whennell) for transporting their children and helping Miss Bennett This week, we alsohad a Sports Achievement assembly whereby Year 6 children who hadrepresenting the school in football and netball were rewarded with acertificate and a medal. Furthermore, we looked at successes over the year and certain children were awarded special prizes for their work:Most improved player for Netball: Charlotte PullenMost improved player for football: Francesca CapelliPlayer of the Season for football: Harrison TryPlayer of the Season for Netball: Clark RussellSports Personality of the year: Reece Courtney and Tate Rayner. Many of the children at Brampton have succeeded this year and I'm afraidI cannot mention everyone, but hopefully by the time your child gets intoYear 6 they will be a sports achiever as well!Well done Brampton, and keep up the sporting excellence!

Choices, excuses and solutionsThis is a simple card game to play. The aim is to get rid of all your cards.

How to playEach player is given 6 cards. The remaining cards are placed in a pile on the table. The players take it inturns to pick up a card from the table. They should then throw a card away. They are trying to get groupsof cards that go together. If you are playing with a young child they will need help, so they might like to

pair up with an adult or older child. Some of the cards have pictures on them. Others have a change, anexcuse and a solution. You need to get a group that seems to go together.

    Family SEAL

This year Miss Wilson introduced Family SEAL to the parents ofchildren in Year 3. We were one of the first schools in Bexley to doso. Over the year 27 families have attended and everyone has en-

joyed the time to try out SEAL activities with their children. We nowhave two other members of staff involved and are planning on rollingit out next year to the current Reception and Year 1. The highlight ofthe year was a BBQ last week for everyone involved. Many thanks to

Miss Wilson, Mrs Reed, Mrs Huggins, Mrs Cox and Mrs Sweeney for all

their hard work to make this such a success.

    Thank you Party

It is with great regret that we are unable to hold a Thank you party this year for all our parent helpers. We know the event was much appreciated by

parents but due to our exceptional circumstances at the moment with thebuilding works, congestion around school and time needed to ensure that classes are movedbefore the end of term we felt unable to hold the event. We would however like to thank

all our helpers for their fantastic support and help given voluntarily to our children.
