    My First Air Travel

I had a dream to fly in the sky. It came true when I was six. My father and mother planned a trip to Hyderabad to visit my uncles house. We began our journey from Kolkata airport. Our pass and luggage were checked by the security personnel. Then we had to wait for one hour at the airport. It was cool and beautiful inside the airport. My father took me around different stalls like food, coffee, dolls, books and many more. I was very delighted when my father brought me lovely toys and comics. After announcement, we proceeded towards the aero plane. The plane was so big that I stared in astonishment for a long time. We boarded the plane and air hostess guided us to our seats. I occupied the window seat and fastened the seat belt. After a few announcements the aero plane took off with a bellowing sound and I closed my ears. As it flew higher, I looked below through the small window of the airplane- the houses, roads, buses, cars looked like small toys. Suddenly, we were above the clouds. It seemed to be a blanket of cotton. I felt like holding the sky and flying like an angel. After a while, the air hostess served us chocolates, snacks for breakfast with a sweet smile.

Finally, we reached Hyderabad airport. I was afraid and held my fathers hand while the aero plane was landing. It was a pleasant evening and the airport was full of lights. I enjoyed a lot. We hired a car to reach our uncles house from the airport. It was really an unforgettable journey.

  • Vacations

Children love vacations They go to visit hill stations. They use to play the whole day In the sand, mud and clay. Sometimes they do it timely And sometimes they do it rarely. Some children use vacations for fun And some pass it as a shot of gun. Some children use vacations to increase their brain And some go to the tourist places by train. They throw their time and watch television Without any proper reason. For a long time they just waste their time, Because they dont want their life get into sunshine. It is the right time to enjoy Whether its a girl or a boy. Mousami Sardar Class- VII/A

    Missile Man

The tears flowed out, And we cried out loud, When our Missile Man passed away, Leaving all of us alone to stay He had loved us all And never let the Indians fall, He smile happily, And thought all of us to be a family He knew us well, And good quotes he would tell We were inspired by his words And our imagination flew high with the birds. But he didnt stay any more, He escaped out of lifes door, May he be with us in our mind?

To help us become good and kind Keep him in peace, Oh! God, May he teach us his way, Oh! Lord. Shreya Raj- IV/B

Man is the biggest Enemy of Nature

Nature is always cosmos. It is the most beautiful creation of Almighty. It is the best guru of all of us. However, we human beings always pollute, destroy, disfigure it by heaping up the rubbish and other waste materials in such a way that its marvelous beauty turns into devastation. In fact, we have become not only the biggest enemy but also the worst destroyer of the nature. Nature has enveloped land, water and air. But we people have not left even single part of the nature to grow freely. For more crops to feed the Himalayan stomach for our large population we cut forests for our benefits and destroy the beauty of the forest in such a way that we face so many difficulties and sometimes fail to overcome them. It also creates troubles for wild animals. Steamers and other means of water transport disturbs the peace of aquatic creatures in such a way that they die in silence without our knowledge. Industrial effluents are recklessly disposed to the sources of water causing them contaminated and unfit for out uses. We want to reach the distant places in a very short time using the fastest means transport which emits harmful and toxic gases giving rise hazardous air pollution. The smoke released from the factories also worsens the atmospheric balance. Peace, pleasure and happiness so long as we are the enemies of nature. If the pollution level grows persistently, the day is not far when the entire globe may engulfed in blanket of Co2. The death and disease will be our permanent companions unless we are aware of its consequences. We must strictly adopt the principle, Save the Nature, Save the World. Tanushree Das - V/A

    ATTENTION PLEASE, ITS EXAMS TIME!!!

    1. Try to start the day early and try to go to bed early. Starting 10 o clock and continue up to late

night will impact negatively the next day. Proper rest / sleep is also very important.

    2. Early morning study is always suggestible.

    3. Plan your lessons according to your available number of days.

    4. How much time you studied is not important, qualitative study is important.

    5. If you have one more time to study the same question, then devote the time to write the same

question and answer instead of reading it one more time.

    6. Group study has very good effect on revision but be careful in selection of group members and

ensure the number of members is less.

    7. Continuous study leads to boredom, so take five minutes walk in between, or wash your face with

fresh water, talk with your friend or parents when you feel fatigue.

    8. Before one week of the exams, try not to read a new question, use the time for revision only.

    9. Think positive that you are going to do better in the exam.

    10. Avoid comparing yourself with anyone; instead focus on proper utilization of remaining time.

    11. If you feel some topic is very difficult / uninteresting change the subject or topic. Then, return to that topic.

    12. Taking food is also important, try to take easy digestible and less oily food, nutrient and light food is highly advisable.

    13. Try to see that the reading room has proper lighting and ventilation.

    14. Solving previous / model papers, improves your confidence and gives a picture of your level of

    preparation.

    15. Take tips from Teachers / seniors for better way of presentation.

    16. Revision must be in such a way that everyday some time is allotted to every subject according to

the difficulty level of the subject.

    17. Utilize the gap between exams in a productive way

  • Butterfly

When I thought, it is the end,

The world gave me a new name. I struggled to snuggle, I crept and crawled Before I was about to have a new world. I prayed to God To bless me with beautiful colours of thought His tenderly hands of love and care Sketched me with magical hues of flare. From red to pink, yellow to green, My wings were in dreams With a soft touch of imagination I stepped into a new destination. I was dressed like a fairy, with gorgeous hue, Nothing less than a princess, found in few. I fly with the soothing breeze Suck the nectar, play with the water. No boundary to hold me, loving eyes to behold me. I am the gracious little creature With lovely feature Im the beautiful creation of God Im a butterfly. Rajendriya Bhattacharjee Class- VII/B

    PERSONALITY

Personality and Responsibility Are the qualities of humanity. Be a model of simplicity Have a heart of morality

Its not inborn It needs to be sown Cant be developed overnight Needs an experienced insight

Keep up your attitude But dont be so shrewd Be cool or in the way in which you look stylish But dont let the values vanish.

    Sagarika Barik Class-IX/ B

    DISCRIMINATION

In our country people are discriminated Because of that many people get eliminated. In politics it is stated that everyone is equal Before the law, But in reality no one is equal before the law. We must give them safeguard and rights, Then they can become countrys pride. Cleaners are the true upholders of nation, But they are discriminated on work sensation. Women cannot be defied, Thats why we have to make them modified. And to challenge discrimination we have to unite, Then there would be a place of bright light. Nikita Karmakar Class-VIII/ C

    My Rose Garden

Flowers are the sweetest of all, But , Roses are the nicest of them all. Some prefer Jasmine, Some prefer lillies, Some prefer daffodils But its the rose for me ! Roses are laid out in the garden here, Which provide freshness to the atmosphere. With roses pink and white, They mostly bloom at night. When theres water on the leaves They look like drops of pearls. Come and have a glance in my Rose garden And sit there Like I do See the Roses blooming bright, I know youll love them too! A Friend

Many people have many friends But I had a special one. He was my bestie Together we had fun. He used to be happy And filled with joy, I always wondered And dreamt why? He walked the extra mile To see my smile And in the meanwhile I wondered why? One day in the function As we had that connection I felt his tension. I asked about the thing, He replied nothing. I knew something. He said ok, I will tell you everything. He told he had the cancer of blood And my eyes started to flood. He said the number of days were few This was a surprise dismay and new. Now all my why-s were answered, He was the one who was cancered. After thinking for sometime I came to conclusion With no confusion. I wanted him 24 into seven (24x7) I dont care its earth or heaven If hes gonna die, I will die first For me, being with him is must. I will hang myself in his name Not for money, not for fame. Vikrant Kumar Class-X/ B

    SUCCESS MANTRA

Dear Students, Everybodys life in this world is the sum total of his deeds which he does and the ways these were done. A task may be hard or easy, but it is never accomplished in a very smooth way. Minor or major obstacles accompany every task. It is, therefore, your response to the obstacles; you have to face on the way to the accomplishment of a task which determines the degree of your success. It has been noticed that everyone tries to take credit for every success himself while for failures, he makes excuses and does not want to take responsibility. It is not better than befooling himself, because success and failures both are the results of his own actions. That is way the great scientist Benjamin Franklin has said, He that is good for excuses is seldom good for anything else. In order to overcome your weaknesses regarding excuses or procrastination, you will have to get into the habit of taking responsibility; you will have to identify the factors which held you back from getting close to your goal. By knowing these factors, you can concentrate on your goal and march towards it with full confidence. Break down the tasks into several chunks. If you do so, the tasks will not weigh very heavy on your mind. You can finish them one by one as they will look manageable. G.H.Loumer has aptly remarked, Putting off an easy thing makes it hard, and putting off a hard one makes it impossible. You should always be aware of the fact that you rarely have any control over the events that take place, but you do have control over the manner in which you respond to them. Think of Pattern: EVENT, OUTCOME and RESPONSE. The event has always to stay in the first place. This pattern will enable you to achieve the outcome you cherish. If you respond with anger, you may lose control and you will be less effective for the day. If you blame others for a negative outcome, you will make others unwilling to suggest a positive outcome. That is the way you need to have a practical approach that can be possible only when you are determined. Remember the words of the great poet, H.W. Longfellow, Resolve and you are free. Wishing that the New Academic Year brings a lot of Success for you. Yours sincerely, PAWAN KUMAR T.G.T. (Computer Science)
