    IT Service Guide for New

    Employees

    Dear new colleagues,

    Welcome to join the company! IT Shared Service Center (IT

    SSC) has provided you with the following IT instructions.

    1. Applying for Office Equipment

    Please contact the department clerk to get the office equipment, such as computer,

    telephone, network cable, etc.

    2. Installing and Setting Operating System

    Please contact the department clerk or call the IT SSC hotline 1110 for the installation

    method of operating system.

    If you are to connect the company intranet, you need set to automatically get IP and

    DNS, and set the DNS suffix as zte.com.cn in Advance (V).

    3. Changing Initial Password

    Use the initial password (14 digits of your employee ID, or 888888 if you are subsidiarystaff) to access the IT service website it.zte.com.cn. Then select My Desktop ChangePassword to change your password.

    Tips: Please keep your password firmly in mind. If you forget it, you can only call the IT

    SSC hotline 1110 to initialize the password after authentication.

    4. Installing Software for Daily Office

    Please access the IT service website it.zte.com.cn, and select Downloads Most

    Downloaded Office Software to download the software needed for the daily office and

    install them one by one according toZTE Required Office Software Installation Guide.

    5. Applying for and Using Mailbox

    Please access IT service website it.zte.com.cn, and select Apply Online Lotus

    Notes Apply for Personal Mailbox to apply for the mailbox. After your application is

    approved by the department head, the service will be automatically activated and your

    mailbox will be available within one workday.

    After the mailbox service is activated, please select My Desktop To Be Handled by

    Me to download Notes ID file. Then get the server address of your mailbox in My Notes for

    the configuration and use of your mailbox. Please refer to ZTE Required Office Software

    Installation Guide for the specific steps of installation and configuration.

    6. Applying for Information Security Permissions

    According to the requirements of your position, you need apply for the related

    information security permissions.

    Please access the IT service website it.zte.com.cn, and select Apply Online

    Information Security. Then select the permission and submit your application. If your

    application is approved by the department head, the permission will be automatically

    granted to you.

    The permissions of information security mainly include Internet access, outbound

    mailing, company intranet access through Internet, digital certificate, etc. For the specific

    permissions you need, please consult the department clerk.

    7. Applying for IT Business System Permissions

    Please access IT service website it.zte.com.cn, and select Apply Online System

    Permissions to apply for the permissions of the related IT business systems. After your

    application is approved by the department head, the service will be automatically activated

    within one workday. For the specific IT system permissions you need, please consult your

    guide or department head.

    IT business systems include HR Online System, Finance Online System, Attendance

    Tracking Management System, Integrated Office Administration, and other professional

    systems.

    8. Getting to Work

    IM, developed by the company, is a window for the work of the staff. All the daily works

    can be carried out through IM. Login to IM with you 8-digit employee ID and password, and

    then you can start your work. Please see ZTE IM User Manual released on IT service website

    for details.
