● Follow-up to the staff presentation to address on-street parking congestion on Alamo Heights Boulevard adjacent to the little league fields and Bark Park
• Ordinance 2043 passed to restrict parking along the north curb line of Alamo Heights for a distance of 397 feet

● A proposal was delayed that would restrict parking along the west curb line of Alamo Heights Boulevard between La Jara Boulevard and the west leg of Alamo Height Boulevard
• An off-street parking project has been completed creating 24 parking spaces in the green space behind the dog park and 7 additional spaces south of the Bark Park entrance

• The proposed restricted parking zone would be marked by painting the curb red for a distance of 1,034 liner feet; signage is not proposed
● This proposal includes placement of boulder material incrementally along the unimproved shoulder to dissuade illegal parking

• The creation or repealing of restricted and time limit parking zones by a municipality is authorized in Section 542.202(a)(2) of the Texas Transportation Code and Section 18-99, “Designation and Marking of Parking Spaces and Areas Where Parking is Prohibited or Limited”, of the Alamo Heights City Codes.
