Report from 2006 from an investigation about occupation and handicap in Denmark
This report shows:
That people with an (incurred) handicap have a much lower connection to the labour market than healthy persons.
Some groups are without a working capacity.The group with a small handicap can find a job easily.The group with a larger handicap finds it much more difficult to find a job, even though they have a working capacity.
This indicates that there are not quite equal opportunities for all people who have intentions to work, but have incurred handicap.

The occupational therapist functions in handicapped individuals returning to work in
Denmark 1. As described before, that is an important function for the occupational therapist at the Danish rehabilitationinstitutes.

3. Guiding the involved individuals. In that function are the occupational therapist very positive recognized in Denmark.
The opportunities for returning to occupation or a job for people with
an incurred handicap are quite good in Denmark.

2. Because of the way the Danish people look at handicapped people as a part of the
community.
