of African wildlife experiences where you will visit the national parks of Amboseli,

ONE HORIZON’s GIVING BACK PROGRAM

Your Kenyan adventure begins with 4 amazing days spent with One Horizon in and around its centres in

Nairobi. You will visit a refuge centre for children, a small business retraining program for women, a

nutritional centre for abandoned children and an educational life facility. The One Horizon program begins

the most extraordinary journey you may ever undertake revealing places and people that regular travelers

never have the opportunity to visit.

DAY 1-Today You Will Visit Kawangware - One Horizon’s Refuge Centre for

children In Nairobi

9.00 am pick up and briefing at your hotel. Today’s outing will be at a Community Refuge Centre for 75

children in the heart of Kawangware, which is one of the most economically deprived communities in

Nairobi. You can take part in the activities that are turning children’s lives around, helping to feed the

children and guided every step of the way by One Horizon staff

4.00 pm: Day 1 concludes with One Horizon returning you to your hotel before a 7pm pick to a Nairobi

restaurant for a welcoming team dinner hosted by One Horizon. You will be returned to your hotel by

9pm for a good night’s sleep in preparation for tomorrow’s adventure

DAY 2- Today You Will Visit One Horizon’s Centre ‘Living Positive’ An Amazing

Community Of Women In Ngong Hills

A 9.00 am pick up and briefing before travelling to Ngong Hills on the outskirts of Nairobi. You will see the

small business initiatives turning the lives of women around as well as visit their homes and hear their

amazing survival stories

4.00 pm will have you returning to your hotel and an evening of leisure

5.00 p.m. (optional). A trip to the David Sheldrick Rescue Centre for abandoned elephants The fee of

$20USD is given to the rescue centre to help cover the cost of their intensive care and rehabilitation back to

the wild

DAY 3- Today You Will Visit One Horizon’s Life Centre In Kibera – It is going

to be an extraordinary day in your life

A 9.00 am pick up and briefing before travelling to Kibera, which is the largest, disadvantaged community

in East Africa of over 1 million people. You will have one of the most extraordinary days of your life

You will visit an educational life centre for children and receive a traditional African greeting from the

children. The centre gives hope to a community that survives on less than $2.00 per day. You can help the

children paint, paint their faces, learn English concluding with an amazing games afternoon

4.00 pm: Day 3 concludes with One Horizon returning you to your hotel before a 7pm pick up to a Nairobi

restaurant for the final team dinner hosted by One Horizon. You will return to your hotel around 9pm

DAY 4- Today You Will Visit One Horizon’s Nutrition Centre For Infants And

Pre-Schoolers At Kiambu

9.00 am meet your One Horizon guides and receive a briefing. You will then travel to Kiambu on the outskirts

of Nairobi. The Nutrition Centre caters for children who are severely malnourished and who rely on the work

of One Horizon to ensure their future

You will be able to help us prepare the children’s lunch and feed the toddlers before an afternoon of fun

4.00 pm will see you returning to your hotel and an evening of leisure before your safari adventure begins on

Day 5. This is the end of your One Horizon experience

6. 00pm: The day concludes with a briefing on the next part of your itinerary, your ‘safari’. Your guide will

give you a full overview of your safari, the wildlife you will see and your accommodation venues

DAY 5 Nairobi to Amboseli

Wildlife Experiences You Will Ever Have

This is an amazing program which combines the best of Kenya’s ‘wildlife gems’ – the

national parks of Amboseli, Aberdares, Lake Nakuru and the internationally famous Masai

Mara. And in the Mara you will have more than 2 days to uncover its wildlife wonders

NAIROBI/AMBOSELI National Park

Today you will start your safari by travelling to AMBOSELI National Park which is situated at the foothills of Mount

Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is home to some of the largest herds of elephants in all of Africa. With a stunning backdrop,

you will see these gentle giants in family herds as they roam the park.

An 8am pick up from your hotel driving to Amboseli (4 hours 30 minutes). During the drive you will pass

through a kaleidoscope of dramatic scenery from open plains to rugged hills and through villages where

life is largely untouched by the modern world

Arrive and check in at the OL TUKAI LODGE and lunch

In the afternoon, you will be taken on a game drive in the park until sunset

You will return late afternoon for dinner and an overnight stay at the Lodge

DAY 6 Amboseli National Park

This itinerary enables you to spend time exploring the majesty that Amboseli offers and maximizing your safari

experiences. Amboseli National Park is renowned for impressively tusked bulls, which are drawn to the large, lush

swamplands. This area is also home to many Maasai communities. You will also have the opportunity to observe herds

of wildebeest, zebra and impala grazing on the open plains. Cheetahs are also often sighted in the park.

A full day is spent exploring the park with early morning and afternoon game drives concluding with dinner and

overnight accommodation

You can go on early morning or late afternoon game drives or both as it is entirely up to you. Alternatively, if

you would like to relax around the lodge, that is the benefit of this tour – no frantic rush from park to park

DAY 7 AmboseliNairobi/ Aberdares National Park

Aberdares National Park is one of the most spectacular landscapes of Kenya. It is located about 100 km north from

Nairobi and stretches over terrains from 7,000 - 14,000 feet above sea level. Animals possibly observed include the

leopard, elephant, African hunting dog, giant forest hog, bushbuck, waterbuck, cape buffalo and the olive baboon.

You will have breakfast before transferring to the airstrip for your flight to NAIROBI, departing at 08h10.

Arriving at 08h.40, and met by our driver guide you will proceed to the ABERDARES REGION where you will

enjoy a wonderful lunch at the Aberdares Country Club

After lunch at Aberdare Country Club you will take a drive to the Ark Lodge where you will check in for an

amazing night. The wildlife will come to you. You will only need an overnight bag for the evening at the Ark

Lodge. You can leave the rest of your luggage at the Aberdares Country Club

DAY 8 Aberdares/Ol Pejeta

Sweetwaters Tented Camp lies in the heart of 24,000-acre Sweetwaters Game Reserve, with magnificent views across the plains to the snowcapped peaks of Mount Kenya. The 30 luxury tents overlook the waterhole, floodlit by night, providing excellent and secluded rarely seen game viewing. This game sanctuary is the closest reserve to Nairobi (2.5 hours’ drive) home to all the big five game, and has the highest ratio of game-to-area of any park or reserve in Kenya.

After breakfast you will drive back to Aberdares Country Club where you will re-join your luggage and your

driver guide before embarking on a short scenic drive to the Ol Pejeta Game Conservancy

DAY 9 Ol Pejeta /Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru National Park is the world famous haunt for pink flamingos. It is 62 km2 in extent. The road to Nakuru passes down the Kikuyu escarpment with fine views of the Kedong Valley, Mounts Suswa and Longonot. The landscape is picturesque with areas of sedge, marsh and grasslands alternating with rocky cliffs and outcrop. In late 80's the park also became Kenya's first rhino sanctuary and is today home to both the white and black rhinos. Lions, leopards, hippos, giraffes, waterbucks are equally at home in this unique park.

Check in for a late lunch at the Flamingo Hill Camp and some time to relax in the afternoon before your game

DAY 10 Lake Nakuru/Masai Mara

The Masai Mara has earned Kenya the title of the grand dame of safari destinations. The stunning landscape of

grassland plains provides an abundance of food that attracts the great herds and predators alike. It is here that you

will be overwhelmed by the variety and density of wildlife and it seems around every turn there is something new and

exciting to see including giraffe, wildebeest, zebras, lions, leopards, jackals and buffalo

After breakfast proceed to the Masai Mara National Reserve in your air conditioned 7 seater vehicle with

many outstanding photo opportunities along the way to the Mara

Arrive and check in at SAROVA MARA GAME CAMP and lunch

Afternoon game drive in the reserve until sunset
