COMPLEX NHS CHALLENGESThe NHS is facing unprecedented financial pressure. The quality of patient treatment is falling as a result … and it is only set to get worse.

•The Department of Health estimates that 30% of the population costs 70% of

the total amount spent on health and social care by NHS England

•NHS faces a funding gap of £34 billion by 2020

•Lack of interoperability between NHS institutions, leaving the system

fragmented and crisis driven

•Use of data analytics is currently limited

•Current plans to close the funding gap will not work
