Simplified Modular DesignBy applying platform thinking to our 1/4”-2”line of JAMESBURY valves, we were able tomake all of the internal and trim parts of thevalves the same. The only differences are inthe bodies, caps and inserts. This makes iteasier, and more cost-effective, to changeparts, which is especially beneficial whendoing repairs. Since the parts are similar,there is no need to have numerous valverepair kits on hand. In most cases, only asingle repair kit is needed for all of yourJAMESBURY valves, reducing your costs. Themodular design is also beneficial when itcomes to linkages for mounting actuators.With these new valves, users can stock farfewer linkages, thereby reducing inventory,costs and complexity of automation.

Live-Loaded Stem Seal (Figure 2)The platform valves are equipped with alive-loaded stem seal. Thanks to itsinnovative design, users benefit from severaltime- and money-saving advantages.• Corrosion-resistant stainless steel washers

store energy so stem seal accommodatesmore cycles without requiring users tomake many adjustments.

• When adjustments are necessary, ourcompression plate design permits them tobe made with relative ease.

Redefining State-Of-The-Art.

• The stem bearings are designed to managethrust loads efficiently, eliminating metalcontact and eventual failure.

Improved Sealing (Figure 3)Our new patent-pending stem seal design isbeyond anything the competition can offer.It is engineered with three sealing zones – aparticularly important feature on smallervalves where there is not a lot of roomforinnovation. We shaped the stem seal toallow the fitting of a compression plate onour smaller valves. This new patent-pendingstem seal design is utilized in theJAMESBURY 1/4” - 2” platform products lines:

• Three zones of contact that, by the verynature of their unique design, promotessuper tight sealing.

• A stem that is fully guided so leak paths donot form during operation – adding to thevalve’s performance and dependability.

• Fugitive emission standards that have beentested to ISO/CD 15484, thereby meetingimportant Class A requirements.

• No stem seal adjustments needed afterthermal and pressure cycles, reducingoperator intervention and, as a result, costs.
