LAURA MVULA: ARTIST IN RESIDENCELaura Mvula made a big impression in 2013, not just on the international music scene but also on Cheltenham. After wowing a packed Arena at last year’s Jazz Festival, she went on to be nominated for multiple industry awards, clinching two MOBOs. 2014 looks like it’s only going to get better for the 27 year old, having already been nominated for two Brit Awards.
This year, we are thrilled to welcome her back to Cheltenham as Artist in Residence, headlining the Big Top on Thursday 1 May. Laura will also guest in an exclusive gig with her pick for 2014 ESKA on Friday 2 May, and will be hanging out with us in Montpellier Gardens soaking up the Festival atmosphere over the Bank Holiday weekend.

SUPPORT US
We aim to make 2014 the best Festival year yet, but we can only do this with your support. With your help we will:
• Bring over 1,200 speakers, writers and musicians to engage with and inspire audiences at Festival events
• Widen access to culture and science by reaching over 25,000 people through our education work
Our supporters, sponsors and gifts in wills are vital – they provide more funding than our total ticket sales, which contribute just 40% of our income.
If you are passionate about the Festivals then please consider making a donation when you book your tickets. Every gift, no matter what size, will make a real difference and is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
