Student Spotlight Shelby Mencer is a freshman here at Warren
East High School. She likes it at WE and
would not want to be anywhere else. Her
favorite teacher is Mrs. Sanford and her
favorite class is Biology. She does have
plans to go to college and wants to attend
Julliard or Auburn. She said that the
difference between the middle school and
high school is that the middle school is
stricter. Shelby loves to sing, and her idol is
Richelle Mead. Shelby is an outstanding
student at WE and will represent us well for
the next three years.
Teacher Spotlight This week’s teacher spotlight is Ms.
Gabbi Sachs. This year is her very
first year teaching at Warren East
High School. She is delightfully
happy and full of energy. She loves
to hang out with friends and play
with her dog. She says there is a big
difference between being a student
teacher and an actual teacher.
“When you’re a student teacher, you
follow your instructor’s rules and
guidelines. so you don’t really get to
know the students as you necessarily
would.” She said she loves WEHS
and she wouldn’t change a thing.
Baseball practice is every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3 to 5 p.m.
You need an up to date physical in order to participate in practices. See Coach Sanford
for details.

DESTINY DENTAL DAVIS & ROBERTSON COMPLETE FAMILY DENTISTRY GINA R. DAVIS, D.M.D. STEPHEN W. ROBERTSON, D.M.D.
To all interested parents, teachers, caregivers: "Give Kids a Smile Day" will be held on Friday, Feburary
1,2013. We are pleased to let you know of an upcoming annual event called "Give Kids a Smile Day". It is a
program where we provide free dental screenings and treatment for local area children without insurance, medical card, or any other form of third party coverage. These children are often the ones who fall through the cracks of dental care. We are hoping to make this year another Success! We are asking for your help. If
you know of any children that you think would meet the following criteria: *Under the age of 18 *No dental coverage (not even medical card) *Willing to have dental work done *Parents are able to be with them at the day of screening and treatment or come by and sign a consent form for the treatment. Please call today to schedule a screening exam. Please mention the Give Kids a Smile program when you contact our office. This one day event is designed to give as much dental care as possible to those who really need it the most. We are going to have these screenings prior to the event so we can better schedule
our time to get as much accomplished as we can on February 1st. Thank you for discussing our program
with your students, friends and families. If you have any questions or need directions please contact our office. Thank you, Angie Beckner, Scheduling Coordinator Toynika Bailey, Dental Hygienist OFFICE 842-3554 • FAX 781-4644 • RES. 782-0220 1720 DESTINY LANE BOWLING GREEN, KY 42104
