WE ARE HAPPY THAT YOU CHOSE TO

WORSHIP WITH US TODAY

Every Sunday morning people of various

cultures join together in churches around

the world to worship Christ. Today is no dif-

ferent and we are glad you chose to

worship with us. Jesus is the only person

who deserves our praise, honor and atten-

tion in worship. Each service strives to have

something that relates to all generations,

whether it’s the music, the message, or the

atmosphere of acceptance. Multiple fea-

tures are required to comprise a modern

worship service; the important part is you.

Jesus is ready to participate, but we must

allow Him access to our hearts. We hope you

will take advantage of this eternal moment.

STUDENT LIFE SUMMER CAMP

Summer camp for 7th-12th grade students

will be from June 1st-5th (Saturday-

Wednesday) in Orange Beach, Alabama. The

theme of the camp is THE KINGDOM. The

cost of the camp is $320, which includes

lodging, the cost of the conference, most

meals, and transportation. Further details

will be forthcoming. Contact Gary McEntire if

interested.

FALCON CHAMPIONSHIP SUNDAY

This afternoon at 3:30, our students will be

watching the Falcons game in the student

center. At halftime, we will continue our cult

study and then resume watching the game

afterward.

STUDY ON PERSPECTIVE

Our Wednesday evening study, MIRROR

IMAGE continues this week as we take a look

at the story of The Prodigal Son. This and

other stories remind us that Jesus’s revolu-

tionary teachings ask us to change the way

we think and to look at things from a differ-

ent perspective in order to make a difference

in this world.

DISCIPLE-NOW WEEKEND

Our D-Now weekend will be March 8th-10th.

We still have a couple of early bird slots avail-

able for $35. Once those slots are gone, the

cost will be $45. Contact Gary McEntire to

register.

MISSION TRIP TO DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

Sandy Plains Baptist Church is planning a

mission trip to the Dominican Republic this

summer. If you would like more information

or are interested in going, please contact

Sandra Mason at [email protected] or

Kirk Bullington at [email protected].

Tentative dates: July 19th-27th.

LADIES BIBLE STUDY

Join us on Tuesdays, beginning Jan. 22 at

9:30 am in C-18 for a study that could

change who you are or at least who you

think you are. We will embark on a journey

through "Having A Mary Heart In A Martha

World" by Joanna Weaver. The only cost will

be for the book (if you wish to have your

own copy) and your time. For any questions,

contact Caroline Singletary at 770 971 6031.

HELP ADDISON

Our Partners in Education, Addison Elemen-

tary, need our help spreading mulch in the

front playground. Once the mulch dries, they

will need volunteers to spread out three

piles. Sign in at the office if you come during

school hours. If you have any questions,

contact Heather Spencer at

[email protected].

BUSINESS MEETING THIS EVENING

The budget will be presented this evening at

our quarterly business meeting in the

fellowship hall at 5:00.

SUPER BOWL PARTY / CHILI COOK-OFF

Join us February 3rd for our annual Super

Bowl Party at 5:30. This year we are bringing

back our chili cook-off. Bring your best chili

and compete for the grand prize.

UPCOMING SUNDAY EVENING EVENTS

Join us this evening for an introduction to

the upcoming study of the movie,

Courageous. The following Sunday, we will

emphasize missions as Kirk Bullington talks

about the upcoming church wide trip to the

Dominican Republic and Caroline Singletary

will talk about her trips to Honduras.
