I think thisis a great community tool forfinding local businesses whenneeded and a great focal pointfor the Chamber.
Looking toward the future, Iencourage you to become moreinvolved in our organization. Thisbeing said, if you attend eventsand promote your business orservices this is how peoplebecome familiar with your com-pany and attract more interest,find more clients and build yourreferral network. Look for theweekly email blast, NilesChamber E-Vantage, to find ourevents and programs. Our Boardof Directors has developed somenew and exciting things for thisupcoming year so stay informedon ways to participate.
A new program we are startingis mentoring new members sowe can help them in the first yearto become more involved andunderstand the services providedby the organization. Anyoneinterested in being a mentor con-tact Katie or Barb in the Chamberoffice.

The Niles Chamber Dollars forScholars program is an all volun-teer chapter of the NationalScholarship America organiza-tion. This committee raisesmoney to grant scholarships tolocal high school and collegebound students and to the chil-dren of chamber memberemployees. This is a great way tobe active in the community andget involved with local schools.

school, response to an essay, awards and honors, school
transcripts, and letters of recommendation. To qualify you
must be either a Niles resident OR a son/daughter of an
employee of a Chamber Members business. Scholarships
will apply to the 2014-2015 school year and are non-
renewable.
The Niles Chamber Dollars for Scholars Charter is an all
volunteer committee dedicated to our youth. In the past
eleven years this program has awarded over $113,000
in scholarships to area students. For 2014, three $1,000
scholarships will be awarded to graduating eighth
grade students and three $3,000 scholarships will be
awarded to graduating high school seniors.
