God in Relationship with YOU!God in Relationship with YOU!God in Relationship with YOU!God in Relationship with YOU!
“You shall be a glorious crown in the hand of the Lord, a
royal diadem held by your God…you shall be called “’My
Delight,”’ and your land “’Espoused.”’
For the Lord delights in you,” (Isaiah 62:15).
The wedding imagery portrays in the First Reading by the Prophet Isaiah 62:1-5. The spirit that carries in this poetry language by the Prophet resonate and set the mood of joy, uplifting, hope and the great future. It is the language that uses by lovers to talk to their beloved. “My delight.” “My Espouse.” It sounds repetitious to repeat the message that tries to portray. The wedding imagery of the First Reading carries forth the theme that occurs in the Wedding at Cana. The wedding at Cana where Jesus, Mary and His disciples attended ran out of wine. Jesus’ performed His first miracle there by changing water into fine wine. Jesus’ kept the good wine until “now.” Now, is the time brothers and sisters! It is time for us to step up and be amazed and feel awesome with the glory of God. The Wedding of the Lamb is happening! It’s before our eyes! Mass-The Eucharist! The Sacrament of God’s Wedding Feast with us. Once we open up the eyes of our faith to see that He is the Bridegroom whose wedding we celebrate as Catholic Christians every Sunday, we will not doubt anymore, not at all, but to participate with joy and amazement! Once we realize the gift of God, His Son, Jesus’ Christ, then, we will transform into the marvelous and amazing life of God. Everyone has been given a gift from the Spirit of God. We need to live a transformative and an awesome life of God. Once we realize it, we will use our Spirit’ given gifts to praise, glorify, honor the Lord not only in our family, but in service of ministries in God’s Church.
Therefore, we need to live our lives in the life of God’s Spirit in Jesus.’ YOU and me, are the Delight of God, accept Him in your heart, then, YOU will be a change sons and daughters in the Lord. Have a relationship with the Lord. Grow closer to Him in prayers and thanksgiving. Jesus’ loves you! Open up your heart and your soul to the Lord for He has a lot of awesome plans for you. Whatever and wherever you are in the happenings of your life. Amen.

Everyday Stewardship When I look back over my life I see so many people who played an important role in my becoming who I am today. Some of them taught me about life, some shared with me stories that made me feel more human, and some showed me how God loves us by mirroring that unconditional love, even if it was imperfectly. At the top of the list of these influential people certainly are my parents, my teachers, my pastors, and now even my wife. I often tell my children that in many ways we are the sum of our experiences and cer-tainly the experiences of family and friendship craft us pro-foundly. These people are gifts. Plain and simple, they are some of the greatest gifts God will ever give to each of us. The com-mandment to honor thy mother and father has much greater implications for us than simply the need for us to obey par-ents or authority. Inherent in the commandment is the need for respect of anyone God has given to us in this life to mold and shape us. By honoring God's gift to us, we honor the One who created them. Jesus received more at his birth than the gifts from the Magi. He received two earthly parents to care for him. They were certainly gifts worth more than any precious metals or oil. The story of the wedding feast in Cana speaks of his response to those gifts, particularly his mother. It was out of honor that he complied with Mary's request. One could say it was his great sense of stewardship that compelled him to honor the gift he had been given. By his actions, he gave us an example of how we must honor God's gifts of our loved ones. At the end of the day, these gifts are more valuable than a gift any earthly king might offer. Tracy Earl Welliver, MTS © Liturgical Publications Inc

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity Our Father, We seek you in so many ways and places in our life. We seek you for guidance and for comfort. But you have told us that when there is hunger, it is up to us to feed the hungry. We ask you to help us see you in other Christians and humbly ask you for strength in the search for what we have in common. Bless our efforts to look at all the ways we are united in faith, and grant us courage to change our hearts and minds to realize your will. We ask all this through Christ our Lord and brother, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Wherever you have a CD player avail-able to you, in the car or at home, you can deepen your understanding and love for the Catholic faith.
On the way into church, you will see a stand offering nine different CDs and three different brochures. When these are gone -- they're gone. A new set with different titles and speakers will be ordered. 2nd Sunday in Ordinary Time Occasionally we hear someone speak about experiencing a miracle. Usually it involves rescue from some accident or health crisis. "It was a miracle that car didn't hit me, the way they were driving" or "It was a miracle they were able to save her leg, the way that it was smashed." We even talk about "miracle" drugs, a reference to the amazing properties of life-saving antibiotics, antivirals, and certain other compounds. Miracles have a character of the unexplained to them. While scientists can describe in great detail the action of "miracle" drugs, to the rest of us they seem just amazing. Doctors can illuminate the process by which someone is healed through sur-gery and therapy, but again, it seems almost unbelievable when we see the results. Engineers can detail why a collision never happened, but to those who escape harm, it seems like a miracle indeed! The miracle at the wedding feast at Cana in Galilee is the third aspect of what comprises the manifestation of Christ known as the Epiphany mystery. (The appearance of the Magi and the baptism at the Jordan are the other two.) In his Gospel, John describes the action by Jesus at Cana as a "sign" that re-veals his glory. It is the revelation of his glory that causes the disciples to believe in him. Jesus is made manifest, and so peo-ple come to believe. It is what happened to the Magi; it is what happened to the crowds gathered at the Jordan; it is what hap-pens to the disciples who are with him at the wedding feast.
The wonder of God's glory is not reserved to spectacular
miracles that take place only at rare intervals. It is a wonder that a drug can cure someone, or that a surgeon can work so skill-
fully, or that for whatever reason, accidents are avoided. Seeing the manifestation of God's action each day is the sign of one
who believes that the Word is made flesh and dwells among us.
