Pratyush event. They were expected to develop posters depicting women from two global
cultures (as one of the forms of tableau) and get them on 6th March (two days prior to
International Women's day).Speaking of the posters, students were seen to be explicitly creative
and depicted social messages through their aesthetic skills. Some of the posters were just out of
the box and were empowering. There were posters made on Women exploitation wherein one of
the student gave away the detailed scenario of exploited women across the globe. There were
posters on, women empowerment, gender biasness issue which is highly prevalent in a country
like India. There were also women from different walks of life being depicted through posters.
Along with their artistic skills, students had supplemented their paintings and drawings with eye-
catchy slogans, captions and messages to enhance their work and spread awareness.
In all, on one hand students were successful in depicting their work, ideas, views and their vision
regarding such ongoing issues and challenges and on the other hand, teachers were successful in
evoking in students a sense of social responsibility through art.
