Please remember we are

all friends here and like

to share. Although,

something we don’t

want to share is our

germs! If you are sick,

please stay home. We

don’t want to make

others sick around us.

DINE TO DONATE

An easy and fun way to

support the center is to

participate in the monthly

Perkins Dine to Donate

program. Dine In or

Carryout breakfast, lunch

or dinner on the first

Thursday of every month.

You must have a coupon

that’s found on page 12 to

present with your bill. Our

Center receives 20% of the

totals. Our last check was

for $39.93!

Dear Friends,

I hope everyone had blessed and joyful holidays. Now is the

time to make resolutions that change and improve our

lives. The Center offers a wide variety of programs and ac-

tivities that can help you with your resolutions. Be sure to

take advantage of them. As always we are interested in

your input on what you would like to do. Don’t hesitate to

let us know what you want to do. We would like to offer ac-

tivities that spark your interest.

On behalf of the Board and staff, I would like to wish you

all a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Best Regards,

Brandy May

Senior Administrator

January/February 2019

How do I know my youth is all spent? My get up and go has got up and went. In spite

of it all, I am able to grin, When I think of where my get up has been.

Old age is golden, so I’ve heard said, but sometimes I wonder, as I get into bed, With

my hair in a drawer, my teeth in a cup, My eyes on the table, until I get up. Ere sleep

dims my eyes, I say myself: Is there anything else I should have laid on the shelf?

I’m happy to say, as I close my door, My friends are the same, perhaps even more.

When I was young, slippers were red; I could kick up my heels way over my head.

When I was older, my slippers were blue, and I could dance the whole night through.

Now I am old, my slippers are black; I walk to the store and puff my way back.

The reason I know my youth is all spent, My get up and go has got up and went. But I

really don’t mind, when I think with a grin Of all the grand places my get up has been.

Since I have retired from life’s competition, I busy myself with complete repeti-

tion. I get up each morning, dust off wits, I pick up the paper, read the obits. If

my name is missing, I know I’m not dead, So I eat a good breakfast and go back

to bed.

A little Halloween Fun!

Here are the seniors that took a step out of their comfort

zone, and dressed up for our costume contest. Of course,

Lexi had to join them. Way to live life to the fullest guys!

Also, here are some of the snacks we enjoyed at the party.

Easiest way to help your center without doing any-

the center. Just bring you Kroger Plus card (you

know the one that give you discounts when you shop)

to staff and they can help set you up to automatical-

ly credit the center. If you are computer savvy, you

can register online at www. Kroger.com. Follow the

instructions and use the North College Hill Senior

Center’s ID number 80891 . It’s a way for us to earn

easy money for the center. Every little bit helps.

Make sure you get registered!
