Happy New Year, Each year at this time, many of us attempt to reevaluate our previous year and set goals and changes for the new year. For some this can be as simple as losing those 5 lbs we gained over the holiday season, but for oth-ers of us the challenges may be more complex and life-altering. In 2017, we spent a lot of our time together learning about how God wants us to commit to Him and how He wants us to grow in our relationships with Him. One of the ways that we accomplish this is by spending time getting to know God through His Word. I know that reading the Bible is not always the easiest task at first, and for many of us the language can be difficult to understand. I can remember back to when I first made the commitment to read the Bible on a daily basis. It was difficult for me to stay fo-cused at first, but over the days and months, God started to reward me for staying diligent by revealing Himself more and more each day. God wants us to know Him, and He has given us the Bible as a tool on this journey. So, I hope and pray that as you set your new year’s resolutions, that 2018 is the year that God’s Word finds a new place in your daily life. Romans 15:4 “For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.”

Peace and Blessings, Travis
