Day 5 (31st) Take Train to Shinagawa Station, board Tokaido Shinkansen - Hikaru line toNagoya on platform 23/24

Arrive at Toyoko Inn Nagoya-eki Shin-kansen-guchi Take Train from Nagoya Station to Jingumae and walk to Atsuta Shrine

Take Train from Jingumae (名古屋市営名城線右回り・金山・栄方面) toSakae/Sakaemachi (名古屋市営東山線) change to Fujigaoka train (愛知高速交通リニモ・八草行) to Geidaidori (芸大通) -Walk to Toyota Automobile museum.Have meals there, if no lunch before.

Take train back to Fujigaoka to change to 名古屋市営名城線左回り・大曽根・市役所方面 train for Motoyama 本山 then change train to Ozone 大曽根

Walk to Tokugawa Art Museum

Day 7 2nd Feb TakayamaGo to JR Central, take the Takayama line 高山本線 to Takayama via ひだ hidalimited express (08:43 Train, track 11, Hida Wideview) (if we can make it,there’s a 7.43 train)

Arrive at Takayama Best Western 10:57 put bags down at the reception. Buybus + entrance tickets to Hida Folk village, 900 yen pp. Go Hida Folk village!

Arrive at 10:47 In Kanazawa Drop bags at hotel

Nagamachi Bukeyashiki-ato (Nagamachi Samurai Residence (including NomuraFamily Residence? ) 10 mins by busWalk to Kanazawa Castle/ Kenroku-en garden (right next door)(check time, if we have time, we go to Ishikawa Prefectural history museumno.9 on map) Take bus to Myoryuji TempleWalk across to Kutani Pottery if possible

Day 9 4th Feb Kyoto

Leave Kanazawa 18:51 Track 1 Taking Shirasagi 16 to Maibara, transferring to JR Special Rapid Service, arriving in Kyoto at 21:48

Check into K’s House ASAP!!!

Purchase Kyoto Sightseeing Card, 2 days Yogen-in

Day 11

Kyoto Walks First (NORTH EAST)Ginkakuji - Path of the Philosophers’

• Get to the gate of Ginkaku-ji (looking at it)and turn left and walk toward to

stone torii gate for about 1 minute.

• Just before the stone torii gate, turn right.

• Walk up into the mountain for about 2 or 3 minutes and you will come to a

V in the path at a small shrine, take the path to the right.

• Fill your water bottle at the little spring just up from the head of the trail,

this is the taste of Higashiyama.

• one hour climb to top of Mt Daimonji
