DIY ACID RAIN Step 1: In a small container add some vinegar to about ¼ full (you could add some food dye also for added effect) Step 2: Add an oil layer (⅔ of the jar) on top of the water Step 3: Place the container in a spill tray Step 4: Add one teaspoon of bicarbonate soda onto the oil and allow it to fall through to the vinegar Step 5: Observe the bubbles forming, and the weak acid solution falling Jar / Container Vinegar Food Dye Bicarbonate soda Cooking Oil A Spill tray
