n avril 2003, le Festival International de Jazz d’Antibes Juan-les-Pins Jazz à Juan lançait Jazz àJuan Révélations, évènement dédié aux jeunes talents du jazz. Au nombre des lauréats de cette

belle initiative : Tigran Hamasyan (2003) ou encore Youn Sun Nah (2005), tous deux à l’aube de leur carrière.

Changement de braquet en 2016 avec Jammin’JUAN - La collection automne-hiver de jeunes talents.D’octobre à décembre 2016, Jammin’JUAN propose, en partenariat avec l’International Jazz FestivalsOrganization (IJFO), le Conseil Départemental des Alpes-Maritimes, Euclyde Data Centers, Enedis et laS.A.C.E.M, trois grandes soirées au Palais des Congrès de Juan-les-Pins, durant lesquelles se produirontles plus prometteuses formations venues de tous les horizons du jazz.Principale vocation de cet évènement : encourager les forces vives du jazz et permettre aux jeunes artistesde se faire connaître des scènes nationales et internationales, mais aussi de s’y produire ; sur celles desfestivals partenaires bien sûr, mais aussi de Jazz à Juan et de son festival Off.

Tant il est vrai que « la chance d'avoir du talent ne suffit pas ; il faut encore le talent d'avoir de la chance ».Cette chance, Jammin’JUAN l’offrira dès cet automne aux artistes et au public du Palais des Congrès,en sorte qu’ils puissent se rencontrer, se découvrir, communier dans un même amour du jazz, en assurerla pérennité et le renouvellement.

In April 2003, the Jazz à Juan International Jazz Festival in Antibes Juan-les-Pins launched Jazz à Juan Révélations, an eventshowcasing talented young jazz musicians. Winners of this outstanding initiative include artists such as: Tigran Hamasyan (2003)and Youn Sun Nah (2005) who were both just beginning their careers.We’re changing gears in 2016 with Jammin’Juan, the autumn-winter collection of young talent. From October to December 2016,Jammin’Juan will host three magnificent evenings at the Palais des Congrès de Juan-les-Pins highlighting the most promisingjazz groups from around the world. These events are presented in partnership with the International Jazz Festivals Organisation(IJFO), Le Conseil Départemental des Alpes-Maritimes, Euclyde Data Centers, Enedis, and the Society of Authors, Composers andPublishers of Music (SACEM).This event's main goals are to encourage jazz aficionados and help young artists gain recognition on the national and internationaljazz scenes. They'll have this opportunity when they appear on festival partner stages, as well as those of Jazz à Juan and its Offfestival.As Hector Berlioz said, “The luck of having talent is not enough; one must also have a talent for luck.” Jammin’Juan will sharesome of this luck with artists and concertgoers at the Palais des Congrès beginning this autumn so they can meet one anotherand be united through their shared love of jazz. a musique porte haut les couleurs du swing, mais aussi (et pourquoi pas, puisqu’affinités ?)de la valse, du tango, de la milonga et autres éblouissements. Initiée à dix-sept ans au jazz manouche pardes musiciens rencontrés dans les clubs messins de sa ville natale, elle s’enthousiasme pour cette musique !

A 21 ans, elle entre au Conservatoire National Régional de Nice pour y étudier le chant et l’harmonie, se forme à latrompette sous la direction du grand et regretté François Chassagnite.De ses multiples expériences, elle tire la quintessence de son art, imprégné de Django bien sûr, mais aussi de BorisVian ou d’Ella Fitzgerald. Elle acquiert aussi un véritable sens de la scène, suscitant l’empathie d’un public, devantlequel elle fait merveille, mêlant effronterie, humour et une présence physique qui lui permettra, en 2008, d’êtreinvitée par Sanseverino et le trio Rosenberg au festival Musiques Métisses, et d’assurer la première partie de Zaz.Déborah de Blasi est entourée de Frédéric Viale à l’accordéon (lauréat du « Tremplin Musik Contest » à Juan en2011), François Arnaud au violon, Gilliard Leitzke Lopez à la contrebasse, des artistes de renom et de talent avecqui elle forme une alchimie parfaite et aborde, de manière très actuelle et non sans humour, des sujets aussiinextinguibles que le couple et l’amour.

Her music is filled with swing flavours, but also (and why not since they’re all related) waltz, tango, milonga, and other ingredients.She’s passionate about this gypsy jazz music, which she learned from musicians she met at clubs in her hometown of Metz. Sheentered the National Regional Conservatory of Nice at 21 to study singing and harmony. There she also learned to play thetrumpet with the late great François Chassagnite. She drew the essence of her art from these varied experiences, infusing it with Django, of course, along with Boris Vian and EllaFitzgerald. She’s also developed a true stage presence that draws in and mesmerises the audience with cheekiness, humour, and a strongphysicality. Her performances have drawn the attention of other artists and in 2008 she was invited to the Musiques MétissesFestival by Sanseverino and the Rosenberg Trio. She also opened for Zaz.Déborah de Blasi is accompanied by Frédéric Viale (Tremplin Musik Contest winner at Juan in 2011) on accordion, FrançoisArnaud on violin, and Gilliard Leitzke Lopez on bass. She has perfect chemistry with these well-known and talented artists.Together they tackle topics like relationships and love in modern and humorous ways.

Guitarist Louis Winsberg’s career has been anything but linear. He's done everything: won the 2007 Django d’Or in the BestArtist category, worked with the most famous musicians, and formed the group Sixum with Jean-Pierre Como and Paco Sery in1984. The talented band successfully melded jazz-rock and African music, recording nine albums and touring the world.Louis Winsberg has followed an uncharted path in the European musical landscape. In 2000, he created Jaleo, a new tribe thatbrought together music from Andalusia, Camargue, the Balkans, and India. It's a passionate voyage through flamenco, Indianmusic, dance, chanting, ragga (not the Indian kind, but Jamaican), Andalusian music, rap or even jazz-rock, Buddhist chants,and new sounds. Jaleo is not marketed as “world music” but rather a delicate combo where talented artists meet to createrhythm, music, and lyrics.The results are transporting and captivating when the various group members enter the dance, creating a vibrant, sensual, andpassionate atmosphere. There’s nothing more pleasing for those who love the unexpected and extraordinary!The Jaleo triptych's third album will be released by Label Bleu at the end of 2016.

u jazz manouche à l’italienne !Fondé en 2012 par les guitaristes Alessandro Di Virgilio et Dario Berlucchi, rejoints par le bassiste ElieLasorsa, Accordi Disaccordi propose un répertoire de jazz manouche de grande qualité, présentant classiques

nationaux et internationaux de la musique des années 1930, dans une veine moderne. Tout en adoptant ce stylegipsy, ils jouent aussi leurs propres compositions et réarrangements de morceaux modernes, voire pop, qu’ilsdélivrent à leur façon, bien personnelle et aiment à définir : « hot italian swing ».Ils ont sorti deux albums auto-produits et réédités, Bouncing Vibes en 2013 et Swing Avenue en 2015, deux opusreprésentant le meilleur de leur répertoire et leurs nouvelles productions. Outre Emanuele Cisi, ils ont collaboréavec nombre d’artistes tels Gonzalo Bergara, Adrien Moignard, Jérémie Arrangeur, Matt Holborn et de nombreuxautres musiciens européens. An exceptional pianist, talented trumpeter, outstanding composer, and expert arranger... Frédéric d’Oelsnitz is without a doubtone of the most brilliant stars that shine in the Riviera jazz sky. Travelling partner with the biggest names in French jazz like EricLe Lann, Aldo Romano, and François Chassagnite, Frédéric d’Oelsnitz was also a key member of Magma, the mythical groupfounded by Christian Vander.His trio, composed of François Gallix on the double bass and Stéphane Foucher on the drums, was born at the start of the newmillennium and came out of a long friendship and musical collaboration nourished by more than 20 years of various sharedencounters. Their music and playing style, unique from the traditional piano/bass/drums trio, has a certain modernity withoutforgetting traditional jazz as the foundation of their music.

la musique de John Coltrane et dans lequel on ressent déjà une forte influence rock; du jazz donc, mais qui auraitsuccombé aux âpres séductions du rock’n’roll, assumant en somme son adolescence pour la resservir dans descompositions exaltées par des musiciens dotés d’une énergie à couper le souffle.

Festen entend s’affranchir des structures et des normes au nom d’un discours brut, réaliste, presque nerveux,affirmant une identité collective acquise par le sens du détail, assumant sans clichés ni chiqué l’énergie du rocket l’esthétique de la boucle, mais sans s’interdire le lâcher-prise improvisé, une musique que l’on serait tenté dequalifier de grunge jazz par son alliage de force, d’abord retenue puis libérée, et d’épure...

Depuis leur création en 2009, les membres de De Beren Gieren ont su créer un vocabulaire qui leur est propre,épousant une dynamique agitée, passant d’un romantisme fleuri à un pointillisme fracturé. Véritable hybride deconsonances et de références, mélange unique des racines du jazz et de techniques de composition classique etcontemporaine, jamais leur musique ne sonne artificielle.

Le groupe a remporté en 2009 le concours « Jeunes Talents » au Gent Jazz Festival. En résidence au Centre d’Artd’Avant-Garde de Gand en 2012, ils sont lauréats la même année du concours de jeunes musiciens internationauxau festival « Jazz Hoeilaart ». Dernier opus édité : One Mirrors Many (Cleanfeed).

e trio est la combinaison de deux ébauches musicales : Milap et One Million Faces.D’un côté, le duo Milap avait habilement transfiguré l’héritage laissé par la musique hindoustanie enconfrontant des râgas traditionnels indiens à des figures rythmiques contemporaines. De l’autre côté, One

Million Faces arpentait les chemins de la composition instantanée électro-acoustique, en multipliant desfeaturings.

Or pour Davy Sur, co-fondateur des deux projets, organiser cette rencontre entre David Amar et Rishab Prasannaétait inévitable. Les deux duos produisent une triangulation parfaite. On y retrouve le souffle organique de la flûtede Rishab Prasanna (la bansuri) poussé dans ses retranchements par les textures synthétiques et vocales de DavidAmar. Jonglant avec grâce entre art subtil du Konnakol et frappes résolument binaires, la rythmique distillé parDavy Sur élabore un pont entre ces deux cultures, structurant les deux langages.

This trio combines two musical sketches: Milap and One Million Faces.First, the Milap duo has handily transformed the inheritance left by Hindustani music by infusing traditional Indian ragas withcontemporary rhythmic patterns. Then there's One Million Faces, which was winding through live electroacoustic compositionpaths while multiplying the collaborations. So for Davy Sur, co-founder of the two projects, organising this collaboration betweenDavid Amar and Rishab Prasanna was inevitable. The two duos create the perfect triangulation. We find the organic breath of Rishab Prasanna's flute (the bansuri) pushed to thelimit by David Amar's synthetic textures and vocals. Gracefully juggling between the subtle art of Konnakol and resolutely binarystrokes, Davy Sur’s rhythmic distillation builds a bridge between the two cultures, structuring the two languages.

Frank Woeste is a German pianist, organist, composer, arranger, and producer living in Paris. Lebatteur Thomas Galliano commence à faire de la musique dès six ans et fait ses premières scènes vers l’âge

de 15 ans en accompagnant son père. Après avoir obtenu son diplôme de percussions classiques au Conservatoirede Nice, il étudie la batterie avec Jean-Paul Ceccarelli et obtient son diplôme avec mention « très bien » à l’unanimité.Il se lance alors sur la scène azuréenne, où il acquiert maturité et un début de notoriété.Vient l’heure du grand voyage à New-York, (« la Mecque du jazz » !), où il réside depuis 2011, pour mieux apprendreles fondamentaux de cette musique et s’enrichir de la fréquentation sur scène de moult grands solistes étasunienstels Paul Jeffrey, J.D. Allen, Dezron Douglas, Eric Legnini, Benito Gonzalez, Ed Cherry etc.Faisant preuve d’une grande créativité encouragée par l’énergie vibrante de la scène jazz new yorkaise, ThomasGalliano vient d’enregistrer son premier album en quintet, intitulé Walking towards the unknown, aux côtés de MyronWalden, Jeremy Pelt, Luques Curtis et Victor Gould.

He has one of jazz’s most famous names, but isn't related to Richard Galliano, except perhaps through his talent and growingup in a family focused on jazz and music. His father is a guitarist and his mother is a radio host. Drummer Thomas Galliano started making music at the age of six. He gave his first performances when he was aged around15 and accompanied his dad. After receiving his classical percussion diploma from the Conservatoire de Nice, he studied drumming with Jean-Paul Ceccarelliand received his diploma with unanimous high honours. He launched onto the Riviera scene where he matured and started togain a following. It was time for the big trip to New York, which he calls the Mecca of Jazz, where he’s lived since 2011. Therehe’s learning more about the fundamentals of this musical style and gained on-stage experience with numerous famous U.S.soloists like Paul Jeffrey, J.D. Allen, Dezron Douglas, Eric Legnini, Pierre De Bethmann, Eric Wyatt, Emanuele Cisi, LoganRichardson, Stacy Dillard, Benito Gonzalez, Ed Cherry, etc.The vibrant New York jazz scene has inspired enormous creativity in Thomas Galliano and he’sjust released his first quintet album entitled Walking Towards the Unknown with Myron Walden,Jeremy Pelt, Luques Curtis, and Victor Gould.
