CALL FOR BRASS MUSICIANS,
PERFORMERS AND ARTISTSDo you play a brass instrument, sing, dance or enjoy arts and crafts?
Do you love Christmas?
Would you like to perform and be part of the amazing
Crook Community Christmas event alongside the ‘Balkanistic’
boogie dance band ‘The Baghdaddies’,
On Board Arts Street Theatre and Jack Drum Arts?
If yes we need you..We are looking for brass musicians, performers and artists of all ages
and abilities to join our team of professionals for our spectacular
‘Crook Community Christmas’ parade on SUNDAY 27th NOVEMBER
with an option to also join us at the Consett Christmas Lights Switch
on FRIDAY 2ND DECEMBER as well.
Brass players will work with musicians from the Baghdaddies and a team of community
drummers to learn and rehearse a selection of new and traditional tunes with a Balkans
flavour, as well as a selection from the Baghdaddies’ impressive repertoire, ready to
lead the early evening Community Christmas Parade event. We also need people who
would like to get involved in the overall creation of the event including creating large
scale lanterns and masks, carrying parade puppets, singing, dancing and generally
helping out both in the lead upto the event and on the day.
So, whether you are a practicing musician or artist, just starting out at school, or just
fancy dusting off the old instrument in the loft or putting on your dancing shoes. Come
along and help us make our Christmas an event to remember!
