After a glorious Thanksgiving weekend and a most enjoyable first weekend of December, it’s hard to believe, with this beautiful weather that the colder snowier days are quickly approaching. I hope you have all spent some quality time outside in the sunny days of late fall. Progress reports are quickly approaching. Please be sure that as we continue to move throughout second quarter, you are regularly checking PowerSchool and checking in with your students based on their current grades. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your student’s teachers, counselor, or building administration. Winter sports are in full swing. Please swing by Jeannette for at least one home basketball game, girls and boys, to support our student athletes. Our students work very hard in practice and having full stands to cheer them on makes a big difference. Also, think about taking your student to their respective high school’s basketball game to get a feel for life at the high school. The games are very competitive and fun. With high school quickly approaching, it would be a great opportunity for your student to see what it is like to cheer on their future Titan or Chieftain teams. From the Principal’s Desk ….

After a glorious Thanksgiving weekend and a most enjoyable first weekend of December, it’s hard

to believe, with this beautiful weather that the colder snowier days are quickly approaching. I hope

you have all spent some quality time outside in the sunny days of late fall. Progress reports are

quickly approaching. Please be sure that as we continue to move throughout second quarter, you

are regularly checking PowerSchool and checking in with your students based on their current

grades. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your student’s teachers,

counselor, or building administration.

Winter sports are in full swing. Please swing by Jeannette for at least one home basketball game,

girls and boys, to support our student athletes. Our students work very hard in practice and having

full stands to cheer them on makes a big difference. Also, think about taking your student to their

respective high school’s basketball game to get a feel for life at the high school. The games are

very competitive and fun. With high school quickly approaching, it would be a great opportunity

for your student to see what it is like to cheer on their future Titan or Chieftain teams.

As we reflect on the upcoming Holiday Season it is hard not to think about the wonderful family we

have here at Jeannette. As you know, Jeannette students participate in many charitable activities

throughout the season. It is always wonderful to see our Patriot students thinking of others and

taking steps to help those in need. The Patriot family will be participating in a very important

Canned Food Drive this year. Our first hour classes with be having a contest to see how much

canned food each class can bring in. The winners will earn a Buffalo Wild Wings lunch. I hope

they get some hot BBQ sauce ☺. Thank you, families, for your willingness to participate!

The weather has cooperated nicely so far. Temperatures have been mild and there hasn’t been

much precipitation. That being said, winter is inevitable. I wanted to send along a few reminders in

regard to student pick up and drop off. The Cafeteria opens at 7:30 am for those students who are

coming in to eat breakfast. Due to capacity issues, only students who are getting breakfast may

utilize the cafeteria. The media center is also available to students who need to complete to some

work or get on a computer. Again, due to capacity issues, only students completing school work

In regard to student pick up at the end of the day, students who remain in the building after the 3:01

dismissal are expected to be with an adult and participating in an approved and supervised school

activity or sport. All other students should plan to ensure they get on the bus, begin their walk home,

or wait patiently for their ride home. We ask that parents please make arrangements to have their

children picked up promptly after school unless they are participating in a supervised school

function. Winter sports, homework club, or other after school activities. Additionally, we would

also ask that plans be made for students who are participating in a supervised activity to be picked up

promptly at their dismissal time. Together we can ensure a fun and safe place for our Patriot

students. SAVE THE DATES: Our next Sounding Board meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 6st at 7:00 pm and again in the morning on Thursday December 7th, at 9:30 am.

Band Concert - Tuesday, December 12th

Drama Play- Thursday, December 14th

There will be No School Monday December 25th through Tuesday, January 2rd 2017. School will

resume on Wednesday, January 3rd. Just a reminder that after school tutoring continues to be available for our Patriot students. Please take the time to emphasize with your son or daughter the importance of completing their coursework and doing it well! Again, I thank you for your continued involvement in your child’s education and helping to make Jeannette such a great place for our students!

Please ENJOY YOUR FAMILIES as we continue the Holiday Season! GO PATRIOTS!!

As always, thank you for your continued involvement in your child’s education and helping to make Jeannette such a great place for our students!

Sincerely,

Christian Mueller

Thank you for all the parents, relatives and students

who helped our school raise over $4700!

Throughout the past month, we've had a bake sale,

spirit week, bracelets sales and our Penny Wars.

All of which helped us get closer to the school’s

goal of $5000.

Thank you again for all your support!
