Class Happenings 3-6 Literacy Unit

Before we began to read the story, we researched the Coorong (the setting of the story) and made predictions on what the story may be about after looking at the various book covers. We have conducted a small research project on pelicans, creating a colourful and informative flipbook. We have also just completed a wonderful artwork of a pelican (that we cut out and glued together) stuck onto a storm that we created out of little cut out paper pieces. We look forward to many exciting learning activities as we continue to read the book. Miss Alison Jeffs
