One day, Jesus was on a hillside. A great 

crowd had gathered to listen to Him speak. He told them wonderful 

things about God’s love

and His kingdom that was to come one day.

After many hours had passed,the disciples said “Master, the

people should be sent home to eat. It’s getting late and they will 

be very hungry !” 

But Jesus had something else in mind. “Why don’t you give them

something to eat?” He said.

Depois de muitas horas, os

discipulos disseram: —

Mestre, devíamos mandar o

povo ir para casa comer,porque está ficando tarde e

eles vão sentir muita fome!

Mas Jesus tinha outra idéia.

—Por que vocês não lhes

dão de comer? — perguntou

Ele.

The disciples said, “Well,

there’s a young boy here

with five little rolls of bread and two fish, but 

that’s not enough to feed 

thousands of people!”

Jesus smiled. That little bit of food was just what He needed 

to do a miracle. He prayed to God, His Father. Then He said a 

blessing for the food.

“Now take the food and start 

 passing it out”, He instructed His

disciples.

Jesus sorriu. Aqula pequenaporção de comida eraexatamente o que Ele

precisava para fazer um

milagre. Fechou os olhos eorou em silêncio a Deus, Seu

Pai. Depois abençoou oalimento.

—Agora podem começar adistribuir a comida.

—Ele

instruiu os discípulos.

The people sat down all along the hillside. Over five thousand people had gathered to hear Jesus that day, and 

every single one was fed! There was even food left over! What a 

wonderful miracle!
