The Israelites Were Terrified…Exodus 14:28-31

28 The water flowed back and covered the chariots and horsemen—the entire army of Pharaoh that had followed the Israelites into the sea. Not one of them survived.29 But the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left. 30 That day the LORD saved Israel from the hands of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians lying dead on the shore. 31 And when the Israelites saw the mighty hand of the LORD displayed against the Egyptians, the people feared the LORD and put their trust in him and in Moses his servant.

Take Comfort In God’s Presence• Pillar of Cloud and Fire represented God’s presence

(Exodus 13:21-22). • The Ark of the Covenant represented God’s presence

(Joshua 3:3).• Jesus represented God’s presence

(Matthew 1:23).• Holy Spirit represents God’s presence (John 14:16-17.

Trust God to Be God• Psalm 20:7 -- Some trust in chariots and some in

horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.

• Psalm 46:10-- He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
