Jews and Baseball explores the connection between Jewish
Americans and baseball, our nation’s most iconic institution. More than a film about sports, it is a story of immigration, assimilation, bigotry, heroism, the passing on of traditions,
and the shattering of stereotypes.
JEWS AND BASEBALL AN AMERICAN LOVE STORY
- Narrated by Dustin Hoffman
for the family
“Stirring, revelatory and affectionate. Jews and Baseball knocks it out of the park.”

NO COST, NO RISK, EASY WAY TO GIVE MONEY TO CBT
Amazon.com, the world's largest online retailer, now has a program called Amazon Smile. For every purchase you (or a friend, relative, co-worker, etc.) make on Amazon.com, CBT will receive 0.5%. No strings attached, no extra cost to you. This is free money for CBT.
When you shop at smile.amazon.com, you'll find exactly the same low prices, vast selection, and convenient shopping experience as Amazon.com, with the added bonus that Amazon will donate money to CBT. You use the same account on both Amazon.com and Amazon Smile. Your shopping cart, Wish List, Prime account, wedding or baby registry, and other account settings are also the same. Some products are exempted from this program, but you'll see that on the screen when you make your purchase.
Just go to smile.amazon.com. At the top of the screen you'll be asked which organization you want to support. Indicate CONGREGATION B NAI TZEDEK. It is very important you spell the synagogue name exactly this way; if you do not put in a space between B and N in B NAI, a synagogue in Potomac, MD will get the money!
If you have any questions, contact me at [email protected] or call me at (714) 962-3036.
Happy shopping, and thank you for helping CBT's fund raising.

September 2016 Dear Women of CBT: CBT Sisterhood was founded in 1977 to support CBT, promote sisterhood among its female members and become active in the Jewish community at large through the WRJ. Our annual membership has grown and we are now over 80 strong. Sisterhood has a full calendar of events each year to allow us to engage with each other, learn and raise money. For 2015-2016, in addition to supporting CBT and the religious school with our annual donations, Sisterhood provided High Holiday flowers, hosted a delightful Membership Tea, sponsored a musical Shabbat service, provided gifts to our B'nai Mitzvah, Confirmation and college students, supported two outside charities, hosted a breast health awareness meeting, put on a Tu B'shevat Seder, hosted Sisterhood Shabbat, sponsored a bench for the upcoming outdoor prayer space and more! You can be a part of Sisterhood, too. You will make great friends and be a vital part of our effort to enrich CBT in so many ways. To thank you for becoming a Paid-up Member, we will hold our annual Paid-up Luncheon on September 18. To attend, just pay your dues! Dues start at $39 for the year. We also have a tiered dues system: Friend of Leah, Friend of Rachel, Friend of Rebekah and Friend of Sarah. If you are able to donate more, it would be more of a mitzvah, and your contribution will be recognized at our Paid-up event. Your financial support is greatly appreciated. Even if your schedule does not allow you to attend all events, you can still support the CBT Sisterhood. Please submit your membership dues for 2016-2017 as soon as possible. Return the bottom portion with your check payable to “CBT Sisterhood” to:
Brandi Cohen, VP of Membership • 910 E. Warner Avenue • Santa Ana, CA 92707 OR
Drop it off in our new mailbox on the Judaica Shop door!!!
