I consider it an honor to be a part of Legacy Academy because my personal convictions and values align with the school’s. Ever since I was a little girl, I have enjoyed teaching and look forward to teaching 2nd grade. Much of Legacy’s choice of curriculum is what I used for nine years to home school our six sons. Our oldest son is now working with Apple Computers in California. Two boys are students at University of Georgia. Two boys are students at Johns Creek High School and our youngest is at Perimeter Christian School. I studied Christianity and Social Work at Mercer University because I wanted to help others know the reality of God’s purpose for their lives. I received my Masters in Education at the University of Georgia and then served on staff for a campus ministry called Campus Life.

recently, serving as the Women’s Ministry Director at Perimeter Church, where I enjoyed teaching, speaking at women’s retreats and leading the staff team.! I am happily married to Rev. Charles Hooper, Jr., a pastor at Perimeter Church. Reading, photography, writing, walking, and talking with friends over coffee are some of my favorite pastimes. My deepest love is watching our six boys become men, but I sure do miss the days when they were young, so I am thrilled to be able to love, encourage, and lead the children in 2nd grade at Legacy as well as partnering with their parents to develop Godly leaders!
