RACE #1 BANNON 1 CURLIN CREEK 3 GREAT KAHUNA 4 CASH DIVIDEND 5 RIVERBOAT GAMBLER

CURLIN CREEK had a couple of starts here last October and used a preliminary race at six furlongs to get ready for a route race where he was third as the 3-5 favourite; he has been here getting ready since early August and will try just six furlongs for Mark Casse; he worked five furlongs August 15th in 1.00.3 getting ready and has since had consecutive works at a half mile. STATION ROCK debuted August 1st at Presque Isle and ran strongly in second with a rally; he now competes for Centennial Farms and Pat Parente and will travel six furlongs on Tapeta here with Hernandez; he has had an opportunity for a local work in 1.01 on this surface. GREAT KAHUNA departed turf and went to Tapeta last time where he got in a pace fight with his winning stable mate, Captain Thunder, and he finished third beaten a length and a half; he shortens to six furlongs here. CASH DIVIDEND a significant auction purchase is by a sire who brings stamina and turf and this one is from a dam who won quickly as a two year old and that is a nice combination; he worked five furlongs August 25th in 1.00.1 getting ready he competes here for Barry and Ryan Kerbel and goes for Denyse McClachrie with Boulanger aboard. RACE #2 BANNON 5 PROMISE ME BOURBON 1 BLACK SAGE 6 ROSE RING 4 JENNY’S VICTORY

BLACK SAGE dropped in for $19,000 last time on turf and embarked on an all out speed attempt at 44-1 and was taken down only late by a winner who also dropped; she gets the quick comeback on Tapeta at just five furlongs. MISS DANIELLE is ten races into her career and has been in the money in three consecutive events; she was favoured for $20,000 last time when she was third beaten a half length from between rivals as, Jenny’s Victory, was second best and Rose Ring was fourth. GALS GOT RHYTHM was in for $20,000 against several of these last time and from the outside showed a touch of interest at this distance when sixth beaten about five lengths; she comes right back at the same distance. PROMISE ME BOURBON is a debut runner for Joey Gee thoroughbreds by, Not Bourbon, and from a dam who has produced four winners; she has attracted Hernandez in this B maiden contest; she worked five furlongs August 19th in 1.01.1b getting ready for this debut as a four year old. ROSE RING missed the break in her debut against many of these for $19,000 but got into the mix in the middle stages before finishing fourth when, Jenny’s Victory, was second and, Miss Danielle, was third; she comes from the outside here at five furlongs.

RACE #3 BANNON 3 TRIPWIRE 6 BIG HAMBONE 2 INCLUSIVE 5 SIR WINSTON

FIRST CRUSADER is one of two Stronach homebreds debuting by, Animal Kingdom, and this one is from the same dam who produced the local winner, Berliner; he goes two turns from the inside post with Boulanger. INCLUSIVE debuted August 4th in a turf sprint and was running on ok at the end to be fifth of eleven; the winner rallied to beat the favourite in that event and both the second and third place finishers have come back with good races; he is bred for stamina top and bottom. TRIPWIRE a debut runner for Kenneth and Sarah Ramsey goes a route at first asking for Michael Maker; he is by, Flashback, a stakes winning son of, Tapit, and is from a dam who was a stakes winner; he has had a series of works at five furlongs getting ready for this opener. MAJESTIC MELODY debuted August 4th but acted up pre race and then had the rider off a couple of times at the gate; he finally showed some life in the stretch on turf to be just behind, Inclusive; he resurfaces as a gelding going long on Tapeta. SIR WINSTON didn’t keep up in either race at Churchill on dirt or Saratoga on turf and now comes to Tapeta and seemed to handle the footing ok in a work September 2nd in 47.4 for Mark Casse; Lermyte rides in this two turn Tapeta event. BIG HAMBONE is a big striding individual who once he got rolling in his debut narrowly missed in second against a debut runner for Michael Maker; he seems to have the making of a route runner who will now stretch around two turns in this second start for Bull and Bear Stable; once again Hernandez rides for Katrina Vassilieva. JUNGLE FIGHTER a second representative here for Stronach Stables by, Animal Kingdom, will debut around two turns and has the widest post for Robert Tiller; he showed some rallying interest in a work August 29th in 1.01.3bg getting ready; he starts from the widest post.

RACE #4 BANNON 1 SWEET RHAPSODY 2 ASK THE BOSS 3 LADY BELLA 4 SHEZTENTHEHARDWAY

SWEET RHAPSODY was reclaimed by Bruno Schickedanz last December when over the top of her best form which had come earlier in 2017 for these very connections; she is trying to make her way back at this late date for a seasonal bow and has drawn the inside post for a seven furlong event for just $6,000. ASK THE BOSS beat non winners of two at seven furlongs in her previous event by aggressively stalking the pace and taking over and the runner up had an excuse; most recently, she dashed inside for $9,500 and maintained her good form with a fourth place finish; she stretches back to seven furlongs. LADY BELLA went from a sprint to a route to win for $10,000 two starts ago by dominating the pace; she was moved to the stable of Jamie Attard for a subsequent route for $10,000 for non winners of three last time and went too quickly in the middle stages and gave up the lead late in a good try; she now shortens to seven furlongs and fits. SHEZTENTHEHARDWAY ran a good race last time against a dominating front running winner for $9,500; she stayed on to be fourth when the late pace weakened; she now gets to come down in value and she shortens in distance. GET SAUCY is getting her first race since August 11th when she was on the edges while one paced; she had been second the time before to a well regarded winner; she must stretch to seven furlongs. MY ROSEBUD got down to the $3,000 level at Fort Erie to run on turf last time and set the pace and was finally third with, Apache Gal, in second. APACHE GAL dropped in value to run for $3,000 on the turf at Fort Erie last time and as a longshot came running in the lane to be second best with, My Rosebud, in third. ZDENKA checked three furlongs from home last time and lost her momentum in the same race where, Sheztenthehardway, finished fourth; she comes down in value and shortens in distance.

RACE #5 BANNON 7 FARFALLA 2 RUN FOR PEACE 3 CLASSY VISION 8 DAZZLE ME

OVERTURNED a debut runner for Chris Harris goes for Rachel Halden; she is a daughter of, Court Vision, trying five furlongs from the rail post with Boulanger aboard and she has worked at this distance in recent preps. RUN FOR PEACE debuted August 18th and had a nibbling of support and finished third against a dominant winner while fanned on the turn; she makes her way back with Bahen aboard once again. CLASSY VISION a debut runner is from a dam who has produced seven multiple winners; this one was an auction purchase and goes for Mike Mattine and has worked over a variety of distances getting set. FLASHY GIZMO was no threat last time at five furlongs and was a weakening fourth; she now drops for $40,000 which gives her a chance to stalk the pace and run on. VICTOR’S REAL LIFE is fast but faltering and was out of the money last time in a five furlong dash with lasix added; blinkers are on here with the drop for $40,000. DREAMIN ON A CLOUD debuted August 18th at four and a half furlongs but didn’t have the velocity to match that group; she has a good reaching stride which should help her at this slightly longer distance. FARFALLA a debut runner for Nick Gonzalez is by the Grade 1 sprint winner, Warrior’s Reward; she has worked over generally short distances but had a recent five furlong work getting set. DAZZLE ME debuted June 22nd in the mud at Churchill downs and didn’t do much running; she will be a second out Casse runner with Lermyte now aboard.

RACE #6 BANNON 3 BACK TO US 5 INGORDWETRUST 1 INTEGRIOUS 7 FIREY AND GORGEOUS

INTEGRIOUS a debut runner by, Sky Mesa, is from a dam who has produced five multiple winners and this one will go for Nick Gonzalez who also has, Back To Us, entered; he comes from the inside post at just five furlongs and has had a couple of recent works at the distance. BIG HEART debuted August 24th at long odds against a key winner on turf and was bothered at the start; he got into the rush but then faltered in the stretch in tough terrain; for this second start he drops sharply in hopes of a wake up. BACK TO US is one of two for Nick Gonzalez entered here and he does have the benefits of a recent five furlong work getting ready; he is by, Temple City, a turf influence; he will travel five furlongs with Bahen aboard in this launch. QUENCH MY THIRST was getting his second start August 26th and against a faster pace he had better early positioning with blinkers on but he faltered to be fifth against a key winner who dominated; he gets to shorten back to five furlongs and drops for $25,000. INGORDWETRUST a debut runner for Tom O’Keefe is by, Flashback, a stakes winning son of, Tapit, and this one was an auction purchase and will travel five furlongs at first asking; he has worked at varying distances and over different surfaces getting ready and sharpened from the gate recently on Tapeta; Corrine Andros has the mount. A B CODEOFHONOR debuted August 18th lasix free and had a burst of early speed then weakened; the third place finisher, Run For Peace, was in race five tonight; in preparation for this second race she has had an interim work at five furlongs, adds lasix and adds blinkers with Hernandez brought in for this ride; she faces the boys. FIREY AND GORGEOUS ran third in an Ontario sire event July 28th beaten only a couple of lengths with a gradual advance; most recently, she opted for the Muskoka stakes which was much faster than the boys’ division and she had sharp early speed from just back of the leaders then faltered; she faces the boys at five furlongs.

RACE #7 BANNON 5 VALIANT FLAME - BEST BET 1 PHIL IN THE BLANK 6 CORKY’S THE NAME 2 AWESOME FIVE

PHIL IN THE BLANK is noted for his blazing speed and he did take a win at Fort Erie in the spring over a short distance; he was here two starts ago at five furlongs for $23,500 and was beaten only two lengths; he now runs for just $10,000 on a big drop. AWESOME FIVE rushed to the lead in a six furlong race last time when returning from a layoff but faltered late; he shortens to five furlongs here. BE THE CHANGE loves the five furlong distance and was in too tough a race here for $23,500 two starts ago when he slipped back to be fifth; he went to a difficult starter race at Fort Erie last time where the winner rallied; he now drops for $10,000. BUDDING had speed and stayed on better on turf last time for $11,500 to miss narrowly as several runners hit the wire almost together and he came away in fourth beaten a neck; he shortens in distance and switches to Tapeta. VALIANT FLAME is a logical one to entertain here given his good race of two starts ago at six furlongs for $9,500 when he was second behind a key winner; he was fourth beaten only two lengths behind a key winner last time and now gets back down in distance; he did have some nice short runs early in his career; he seeks his initial win of the campaign. CORKY’S THE NAME has won three times here with front end speed but he met his match when he went to Fort Erie last time for a two furlong race where he didn’t get the lead; he meets other tough speedsters here with an outside post.

RACE #8 BANNON 4 DONTDROPURCROP 1 HOLIDEJAVU 6 ROMANTIC BLISS 2 QUIXOTICAL 5 SOMERSBY

HOLIDEJAVU got down to the $8,000 mark two starts ago at five furlongs and ran second behind a deep closer; she went back up in value last time and gave up the lead late at six furlongs; she shortens in distance here. QUIXOTICAL had a couple of races earlier in the year against and in the second of those starts laid in and it was difficult for the rider to keep her straight; she makes her way back now after significant time away and plunges for $8,000; lasix is now added. DUCHESS OF LYNN was in for $7,500 last time and had the rider off leaving the saddling area but once underway opened up a lead then faltered at the most important time in that seven furlong event; she shortens to five furlongs. DONTDROPURCROP ran well at six furlongs for $7,500 last time and raced on the pace and was displaced only late; she goes a furlong shorter. SOMERSBY made a move as if she would threaten last time but then she faltered the last part of that seasonal bow; she has had interim prepping. ROMANTIC BLISS came three wide from the second flight with a rally last time and advanced to fourth beaten only three lengths when, Holidejavu, was in second; this will be her second race following a long layoff. SPANISH BLESSING was at Fort Erie last time in a race dominated by a couple of long shots and as the favourite she finished a meek fourth. BOLD N’ FOXY was at Fort Erie at five furlongs last time and was close only early then faltered out of the money and was finally far back.
