th 65 Republic Day Celebrated at JLU

th 65 Republic Day Celebrated at Jagran Lakecity University Campus. Welcome speech was delivered by Honourable Vice-Chancellor Dr. Anoop Swarup. In his speech he encouraged the audience to work together for Corruption free India. He congratulated the faculty and staff members for the Republic day.

On this ocassion different colourful programmes like dance, debate, music and painting competition were organized.Registrar Prof. R. Nesamoothy submitted the vote of thanks.

Conference of Management and Behavioral Sciences

_ January 16 17, 2014An International Conference was organized by Jagran Lakecity University, Bhopal in alliance with Society of Management and Behavioral

Sciences (Canada & India) from January 16 to 17, 2014. The Conference theme was Management and Behavioral Sciences. The conference aimed at bringing together the leading academic researchers, scholars and scientists from related areas of management and humanities. The chief guest of the conference was Mr. P. R. Ravi Mohan, Regional Director- RBI (M.P. & Chattisgarh). He emphasized on projects of RBI in rural management to preserve economic stability and promote financial literacy in various villages of Madhya Pradesh.

Mr. Anil Dave, member of Rajya Sabha was the key note speaker of the conference. He expressed views on human management as a means to acquire behavioral skills to deal with people. Around 150 delegates presented their research papers and articles in the interdisciplinary conference. The delegates from Canada, Iran, Philippines, U.A.E., UK and U.S.A. attended the Conference.

The Chai rperson of the Conference , Prof. Gulnar Sharma underlined significance of the conference as a platform to discuss sociological crisis and economic imbalance. This conference provided an opening to all budding managers and entrepreneurs to learn, develop and practice new managerial skills to face challenges related to organizational behavior, economic importance and marketing management. Finally, the vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. R. Nesamurthy, Registrar, JLU. On this occasion, Prof. Atul Mehrotra, Prof. Sanjay Ranade, Prof. Karunakar Jha, Prof. Vivek Khare and Prof. Nafees H. Naqvi and distinguished faculty members were present.

Dr. Karunakar Jha joined as a Professor and Director in School of Management Jagran Lakecity University, Bhopal.A successful and seasoned sales and marketing professional with experience in FMCG MEDIA, DIGITAL MEDIA & FMCD. He was involved in launching new dairy products at AMUL and had successfully established Amul Milk and Amul Shrikhand. He was also instrumental in creating wider distriubtion of Amul Products both in UP and Maharashtra/Mumbai. At Unilever successfully launched Lipton Tiger tea, Taaza tea, Dalda refined oil in pouches and Tree Top Fruit drink. The Times of India Patna created major milestones under the leadership of Dr. Jha both in Circulation and Response.Uncle Chips and Gagan Vanaspati was developed into a national brand and made available across the country. A good blend of Consumer marketing and New Media Dr.Karunakar Jha adds a new approach to training and teaching by adding a lot practical examples which proves highly beneficial to the students.Dr.Karunakar Jha is keenly involved in Management Development Programme, consulting, research and full time teaching.

Dr. Sanjay Ranade joined Jagran Lakecity University, Bhopal as a Professor and Director in School of Media and Communication.Dr. Ranade comes to us with over 25 years of experience of both academia and News editing. He started his

career with The Times of India, Mumbai as Staff Reporter in the year 1989, thereafter he worked with many

National and International news media companies as News Coordinator and Editor. Prior to joining us, he was

associated with Department of Communication & Journalism, University of Mumbai since 2003 as Associate

Professor. He is adjunct research fellow with Monash University, Melbourne, Australia.

He is currently handling the project where he is principal investigator in a study titled "Same Language

Captioning (SLC) of Multimedia Programs & Comprehension among Deaf & Hearing Children". He has also

worked on project "Why Maharashtrians do not make Entrepreneurs". He has also published several research papers in the field

on Media. He is graduate in Commerce and he subsequently completed his Post graduation in Journalism and Mass

Communication. He is doctorate from the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Contemporary Studies, University of Mumbai.

Ms. Sonam Singh, joined as a Lecturer in School of Management, Jagran Lakecity University, Bhopal.

Ms. Sonam Singh has come from an engineering background with a specialization in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. She has worked as a System Engineer in TATA Consultancy Services, where she has won accolades for herself. She has been professionally recognized for conceptualizing the idea of knowledge sharing across platforms to ensure reaching SLAs.

Having completed her MBA from Christ University, Bangalore, with a specialization in Marketing, she worked in HCL as a Senior Sales Executive managing the key accounts and a diverse team under her. She has worked for several Marketing projects in MNCs like Coca–Cola, Big Bazar and Shoppers Stop. Ms. Sonam has won the B-Plan competition at IIT Powai and was also crowned the Best Manager at IIT Powai.

She has a blend of corporate exposure and that of an academic instructor as she has also worked as a management course facilitator teaching various Marketing and HR subjects at BIT Ranchi.She has qualified the UGC NET examination in Nov 2013 and her research papers has been published in several journals and books.
