JOB DESCRIPTION:
MIXED BLOOD THEATRE PRODUCTION MANAGER
REPORTS TO: ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
RESPONSIBLE FOR
1. Coordination of mainstage, touring, and On The Job productions
2. Maintenance and upkeep of lights, sets, props, costumes, and sound (equipment and materials)3. Integration of radical hospitality into equipment and space sharing
4. Oversight of tenants space and technical needs
5. Auditorium: stage, seating, masking, equipment
6. Managing the master calendar and appropriate budgets
7. Hiring and coordinating all overhire crews
8. Access services coordination
9. Company management : out-of-town actor housing, workers comp claims
1. Coordination of mainstage, touring, and customizedn productions
Mainstage Plan and run production and design meetings
Distribute rehearsal & performance schedules, scripts, contact sheets, etc.
Provide designers with inventories and ground plans/elevations
Coordinate communication between designers, director, technicians, artistic director, PR/marketing,
actors, stage manager, and front of house
Manage load-in and tech week carps, electricians, paint crew, etc.
Keep production process on schedule and budget
Media ops and archival shoots (include live stream coordination)
Process all employees: W4, I9, Equity P&W, etc.
Touring
Plan and run production meetings
Distribute rehearsal schedules, scripts, contact sheets, etc.
Coordinate communication between designers, director, technicians, artistic director, PR/marketing
Keep production process (technical portion) on schedule and budget
Maintain (and purchase) technical equipment as well as props, sets, costumes, and sound
Process all employees : W4, I9, Equity P&W, etc.
Customized Workplace Shows
Organize site visits
Plan and run production meetings
Distribute rehearsal & performance schedules, contact sheets, etc.
Coordinate communication between designers, director, technicians, artistic director,

2. Maintenance and upkeep of inventory for lights, sets, props, costumes, media, and sound
(equipment and materials) as well as tools and construction supplies
3. Integration of Mixed Blood's mission of radical hospitality into equipment and space sharing
Provide a well-maintained props-for-loan inventory and work with outside companies and individuals
who borrow Mixed Blood equipment and materials.
Arrange for the donation of unused costumes, props, lights, and scenic elements to individuals or
charitable organizations.
Manage donated space use
4. Oversight of tenants' space and technical needs
Provide tenants with inventories and ground plans/elevations
Oversee and advise on technical and space demands of tenants productions
Brief tenants on security, parking, and facility capabilities and limitations
Serve as liaison between tenant and Mixed Blood
Hire excess staff as needed
5. Auditorium
Plan and execute (hire) changes in stage and seating configuration
Maintain (and supplement when necessary) equipment for safe and successful operation of
performing arts events in Alan Page Auditorium (and access to auditorium)
6. Manage the master calendar and appropriate budgets
7. Hiring and coordinating all overhire crews
Hire, schedule , process and pay crews
8. Access Services
Work with ASL interpreters and directors for position and lighting
Work with audio describers to procure equipment and assure function
Maintain and test assisted listening devices
Oversee projected supertitles creation, projection, screens, hardware, etc.
9. Company management
Housing for out-of-town actors
Workers comp claims
Manage auditions and actor database
Travel arrangements
REQUIRED SKILLS
Highly organized and self-directed
Knowledge of technical theater materials, equipment, and personnel
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Experience with personnel management
Knowledge of unions
