Job Responsibilities • Study of all the Project’s Tender documents and ensure project team have clear understanding of

contract and applicable obligations. • Attend start-up and progress meetings regularly. • Monitoring site activities and project performance to ensure the quality of work is in compliance with

contract requirements and approved method of statement, good construction practice and only approved and specified materials are used.

• Review and approve shop drawings submitted by the contractor as per Tender Drawings. • Review and approve material samples and submittals submitted by the contractor as per Tender

specifications. • Inspect and approve mock-ups executed by the contractor as per approved shop drawings and

specifications and according to the approved method of statement. • Review and approve construction method statement submitted by the contractor. • Close liaison with Commercial Management. • Review the Contractor’s Interim Payment Application and advice the Cost Consultant with the

assessment of work completed, Pending work, etc. • Agreeing a price for materials, and making cost-effective solutions and proposals for the intended

project. • Daily site visits to ensure and control the quality of all activities during construction and that the

contractor is following the project specifications and approved shop drawings. • Inspect and approve each executed activity upon its completion. • Coordination between mechanical, electrical & civil staff and holding regular meetings between all

parties. • Propose different execution methods to expedite the construction process. • Review and approve the contractors’ proposals for different execution methods and alternative

materials to expedite the construction process. • Chasing long-lead material especially which are on critical path. • Liaising with the Project management team, inform and update them with the project progress status.

Submit reports for any expected delay may occur during construction. • Giving advice and resolving disputes between contractor and project manager according to contract

terms. • Liaising with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local

construction regulations and by-laws. • Attending meetings with municipality representatives to discuss health and safety issues on the

environment and to avoid any negative impacts on daily city life. • Prepare Snag list upon project completion and fellow the contractor to close all listed items. • Final inspection and assist in issuing the Taking-Over Certificate (TOC).
