OLWEUSBullying Prevention Program

Olweus is a district wide initiative for the prevention of bullying. It is the most researched and best known programs developed and available today. It was developed by Dr. Dan Olweus of Norway

The goal of OBPP is to change the norms around bullying behavior and to restructure the school setting itself so that bullying is less likely to occur or be rewarded. The implementation of OBPP is to be seen as a long-term effort- not something that is “completed” in a year.

Definition of Bullying : When someone repeatedly and on purpose says of does mean or hurtful things to another personwho has a hard time defending himself or herself.
