Major Gifts/Planned Giving DirectorSUMMARY DESCRIPTION

The Major Gifts/Planned Giving Director is responsible for seeking out donors and gifting opportunities and developing and implementing initiatives to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward major/planned gifts to ensure a strong base of ongoing financial support for the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer (CDO), the incumbent sets goals, monitors work and evaluates results to ensure that departmental and operating requirements are met and are in line with the needs and mission of the organization. The Major Gifts/Planned Giving Director also works with the District Vice Presidents, Branch Executives and senior volunteers to set Major Gifts/Planned Giving goals, policies and priorities. The incumbent will also assist Association leadership with the development of strategies and proposals and provide coaching with the goal of securing more major/planned gifts at the branch and district level.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & JOB SPECIFICATIONS

CFRE and/or Planned Giving certification is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge and success in the areas of major gifts and planned giving. Specialized knowledge related to planned giving and major gift fund-raising. Able to work effectively with donors and

professional advisors. Proven fund-raising, leadership and consensus building skills. Proven negotiation and mediation skills. Ability to listen is essential. Able to ask leading questions which encourage prospects and donors to talk about themselves

and their activities. Excellent writing skills including the ability to draft compelling proposals and/or cases for support, correspondence, etc. Able to lead and motivate groups and individuals. Able to think creatively and strategically to successfully mediate and

negotiate with individuals and groups internally and externally Able to overcome obstacles to cooperation and foster harmonious relations. Able to balance competing priorities, complex situations and tight deadlines.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

University graduate (undergraduate degree) in a related field. Individual must possess a minimum of 3-5 years major gift/planned giving fundraising experience including five + years in a

complex not-for-profit organization involving a significant number of people and organizations with diverse and varied interests and backgrounds.

Valid driver’s license and personal car.

Controller

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

Responsible for direct supervision of all accounting functions of the Association including cash and investments, accounts receivable and accounts payable, other assets and liabilities, and grant/contract billing and monitoring. The Controller will prepare or supervise the preparation of monthly reconciliations of the Association’s general ledger accounts and assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual internal and external financial statements and tax returns. The Controller will also be part of a team that creates and implements policies and procedures to identify, resolve and document accounting issues in addition to creating procedures to making closing and reporting processes more efficient and accurate.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Supervise, assist and train accounting personnel relative to the recording of normal activity in the general ledger and point of sale systems including recurring journal entries, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash and payroll postings to assure accurate financial reporting and compliance with Association internal control policies.

Perform or supervise investment and fixed asset accounting functions. Perform or supervise reconciliation of inter-company and inter-fund due to/from accounts. Perform or supervise timely reconciliation of all bank and investment accounts, and subsidiary ledgers to the

general ledger on a monthly basis. Assist in the administration, monitoring, invoicing and reporting of program grants and contracts. Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual work papers supporting internal financial statements, reports and

spreadsheets to ensure effective accounting for the Association.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of a four-year college degree in accounting, finance or business. CPA or CMA designation is preferred but not required.

Minimum of five years of experience in a supervisory accounting role of which at least two years were in a position equivalent to a controller or higher. Experience relative to Not-For-Profit accounting and reporting standards a preferred but not required.

COMPENSATION: SALARIED -- Min: $66, 443 to Mid: $84,304

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the Sr. Vice President Human Resources, Perform a high level of administrative duties requiring initiative, discriminating judgment, confidentiality, and the ability to discern and positively influence sensitive human capital, community, organizational and interpersonal situations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ensure effective and accurate administrations of the workers compensation, insurance filing and processing for all claims and serve as key point of contact on risk related claims for purposes of administration.

Support the administration of the HRIS system and provide back-up service as necessary Provide support to the Facilities and Youth Development departments on an as-needed basis. Maintains daily calendar, appointment details and meeting schedules for SVP HR and departmental schedule for all HR staff,

including PTO time and time outside of office. Establish and implement the necessary systems and procedures for contact management, filing systems and report

schedules to ensure the effective function of the human resources department. Serve on Safety Committee and keep accurate records of minutes and key correspondence. Assist in open recruitment of staff as needed by coordinating and scheduling interviews, etc. Provides support for program staff on HR matters as appropriate. Work with local and national YMCA consultants on organizational and leadership initiatives in support of Partner Y status. Assist in the administration of HR processes and protocols as required to ensure seamless service to managers and

employees. Consults and supports the Human Resources department on employee relations matters and other human resources work

Effective organization and planning skills and ability to know how to set priorities around human capital issues when serving as first point of contact.

Have excellent written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills to be able to interact with all levels of the organization, including professionals, senior management, part-time employees and volunteers. SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:Under the supervision of Membership Core Service Leadership and Branch Leadership the Membership Service/Sales Representative III is responsible for the coordination and implementation of excellent customer service to members, guests, and program participants, with a strong focus on membership sales and leading a team.

Membership Service/Sales representative will take the lead in creating a welcoming environment for the front desk and lobby area. Getting along with a wide variety of people and having a strong sense of duty are important aspects of the job. YMCA employees are expected deliver quality services in the areas of Mission Advancement, Collaboration, Operational Effectiveness and Personal Growth.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Strong sales background Excellent verbal and written communication skills Requires conscientious and cooperative teamwork work style Accurate handling of details Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Google and Social Media as well as the ability to become proficient in Daxko Ability to multi-task and work in a face paced environment People oriented , warm friendly and easy-going communication style Strong customer service skills Ability to work independently Comfortable with public speaking and conducting presentations

EDUCATION: High School Diploma /GED Required Associates Degree preferred

WORK HOURS: 20-30 hours/week. Flexible schedule required with occasional weekends. Hours vary but may include days, nights and weekends depending on needs

HOURLY RATE: min: $8.77 midpoint: $10.96

JOB SPECIFICATIONSThe incumbent is required to maintain current CPR, First Aid, and AED6 months experience working with youth. Lifeguards must be 16 years or older.

WORK HOURS Flexible schedule required to meet operational needs, includes nights and weekend hours.

HOURLY RATEMin: $7.25 to $9.06
