Prototype 2: Media KitIf we wish for DMN to be a more sustainable project, we need to attract advertisers for the blog and magazine. To do this, we created a media kit.
03/04
Prototype 3: Dress Me Network
DressMe Network, the title of this project and the name of our brand, is a concept that we came to about two weeks before our final presentation. At the time, we had been putting together a final prototype of our media kit and were attempting to gather information about traffic on our different sites in order to gain a better understanding of who was visiting them and why.
05/06
After many frustrating attempts at sorting through the statistics from over four different websites we decided that there had to be an easier way to go about this, which is when our true design problem manifested: How can we put all of our content in one place and be able to expand on that content, document it and continually update it? At that point, we both had relatively the same idea about how we wanted to build on this project, which was to turn Dress Me into a network where Dress Me Magazine could still be our focal point. In doing so, we hoped to be able to created a more focused project that did a better job of serving our reader’s needs and attracting new ones. Unfortunately, we ran into problems early on. We found that it became difficult to attain any useful
information because the data was split between all of our sources. Each one of the sites that we use has a different set of statistics, hosted and calculated by a different site. Because of this, we were unable to gain a sense of the volume of the traffic that passed through our entire network of sites, losing the bigger picture. In addition to this, from what we could read in the stats, the visitors to our sites weren’t moving in the way that we had hoped. We wished for there to be a greater amount of moving between our platforms, but there was next to none. In addition to this, the split made it more difficult to build on the topics and content that we created for the magazine. The overall feel was one of separation, not of cohesion as we had been attempting to establish.
In learning from these problems, we realized that we would need to take steps to solve them. One of the first ways that this would benefit us would be to simplify our analytics due to the centralized organization. To build a sense of a network from all of these isolated sources, we would need to link them under one URL feed. This would not only put all of the media that we create in one place, it allows us to better control the branding that we present on our sites. The new ease of moving from section to section would further encourage our readers to investigate the other areas of the blogs. The expanded content goes beyond just the blogs though. We would now be able to elaborate on elements of the magazine that we had run out of space for in the issue, as well as display stories that we had been unable to tell. Finally, it affords a space in which we can build a context to give a better sense of how the magazine is put together through behind the scenes footage.

I AM NOT SURE IF waffle knit tops are suddenly a rare thing or if I have just been looking in the wrong places but I am starting to think that I am the only person who think that they are perfect for Fall. I ordered this Free People one off of Karmaloop. It is just the
kind I have been looking for! Do you guys know of any good shops for waffle knits, online or not?
Top: Free People; Shorts: LF; Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell;
DO NOT ASK ME WHY, I know it is not the most weather appropriate look but currently I would like to be wearing this. The color pallet and mixtures of fabrics and textures looks cozy. Perfect for the train ride that Jordan and I are currently on. The CALYPSO St. Barth vest is kind of random seeming, but like I said before the weather is cold and apparently snowy so the outfit kind of calls for a
jacket with more substance than this one from Alexander Wang. The vest seemed to be the only solution. I know the shoes, also from Alexander Wang, are not exactly snow proof either but I balanced that out with the fur cuff from Wendy Nichol and cashmere
bottoms from Vince. It is fashion math. The top is from Miu Miu and the bag is from Prada.
BEING THE VOVARHOLIC that I am, I was more than excited when I found out that Sasha Pivovarova was doing a collaboration with Gap Body. This bra is one of the two things I picked up from the collection. It is so comfortable and soft, I definitely recommend
it to anyone! It is so perfect! You can make like a fairy too and buy it here.

RECENTLY I HAVE BEEN using some products that KMS sent me from their 'Free Shape' line. The shampoo, conditioner, and a product called Quick Blow Dry, which speeds up your blow dry time. For me this line is great because I blow dry my hair every other
day or so (bad I know!) and Free Shape is optimized for keeping your hair healthy and more manageable during the heat styling process. The first picture is from after I used the Free Shape line for the first time. It makes my hair feel extremely soft!
PROS:•Healthy hair!•Products prime your hair/make your hair more responsive to heat/provides thermal protection/conditions•Leaves your hair feeling soft throughout the styling process. Including right after you blow dry and are about to use a flat iron.•The 'Quick Blow Dry' REALLY is quick (this product is amazing)•It smells great, even after you are done styling, which is one of my favorite things about this line.
CONS:•none!!!!!
ALTHOUGH I HAVE been slowly replacing my makeup for the colder months I went all out and picked up most of what was on my list. So exciting and refreshing! I am a Shiseido/NARS/YSL girl if you couldn't already tell! What's on your list of winter beauty essen-
tials?
ONE THING THAT I was not able to find when picking up my winter makeup was Tightline Activator by Laura Mercier (a liquid that turns powder makeup like eye shadow into liquid eyeliner that you apply with an eyeliner brush). Even though I use NARS liquid eyeliner, which has a spongy tip, I like to use the activator for a stronger, more defined line. Also, because it turns any color eye
shadow/blush/etc. into eyeliner, you can use any color for eyeliner. After not being able to find it at a couple of stores, I decided to try a different brand. I picked up Finish Line by Trish McEvoy, which is pretty much the same thing. I recommend both!

MISSION
DMN gives the average person a better sense of self, and a greater ability to rationalize and enjoy the world around them. As creatives, we are able to see the complex and simplistic wonders of the world and DMN strives to share that with others.
We seek out the blogging community because bloggers have shown an interest in self-expression and DMN wishes to aid them in their pursuit of it.
This is why we are Dress Me. Clothes change the way a person thinks of themselves and the way they interact with the world. DMN would like to do the same in order to make the world a better place. DMN aims to clarify who you are, how your identify and present yourself.

Dress Me Magazine
Dress Me Magazine is an online resource dedicated to the promotion self expression. Our aim is to best allow our readers to develop their own personal brand, be that through blogging, fashion, or music. We seek to strengthen the individual in our society through the exploration of trends and themes.
Dress Me Magazine is neither a how to book, nor a roundup of the latest in culture. Instead, we attempt to benefit our community through commentary on relevant topics for the strong willed reader. We find strength in the varied opinions of our blogger contributors and reject the notion that there is a single fix-all solution for every person. Dress Me is about self exploration through conversation with culture in an effort to help our readers become happier and more comfortable with who they are.
