The Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educa-tional Programs (CACREP) is a specialized accrediting body rec-ognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). CACREP functions as an independent council whose purpose is to implement minimum standards for counseling graduate-level training programs. The CACREP scope of accreditation includes the following:
