Scope (JVMOHR)

● The ‘JVMOHR’ is an international peer reviewed open access scholarly journal primarily published yearly volumes of two issues on June and December by LEP both print and online since 2019.

● The ‘JVMOHR’ publishes original research papers and reviews of all the subjects of veterinary medical sciences and technology required for dual degrees (BS in Animal Sciences and DVM) and research on veterinary and human medical sciences associated with ‘One Health’ activities.

● The ‘JVMOHR’ will be unique in its discipline by setting standards in the field of veterinary, medical and allied sciences to make a multidisciplinary education and research with a complex collaborative platform ‘One Health’ for rapid communication of scientific knowledge of human, animals and environmental health especially pathogens transmitted among animals, humans and environment.

Justification of the Journal name, ‘JVMOHR’ Approximately 245 journals are presently dedicated to veterinary medical field and about 1019413 articles are being published annually all over the world (Omics International). ֍ Mostly country name, international and /or advanced terms are used in the journal name like Bangladesh Veterinary Journal, International Journal of Veterinary Science and Technology, Journal of Advanced Veterinary and Animal Research and others.

● The main scopes of these veterinary journals include ‘all the aspects of veterinary science and related aspects’ except some specialized title journals like Journal of Microbiology, Journal of Parasitology and others.

● This wide-range scope have been used by the different journals of veterinary and animal sciences probably may be due to ignoring the definition and scope of the terminology veterinary, veterinary science, animal husbandry, animal science, veterinary medicine, veterinary medical and others. In addition some have been used the term international and advanced in the title. All these inappropriate scope under the different title of the journal have been explained in the article, “Samad MA (2017). In addition, the International term involves to all or at least two or more nations (Princeton’s WorldNet). Accordingly, all online journals can be considered as International Journal except the impact factor, however, some journal doesn’t have any impact factor but their title is International. Some journal added advanced word in their title whereas advanced in science means ‘being beyond the elementary or introductory’ (Merriam-Webster), whereas the scope of these journal include all aspects of veterinary and animal sciences. However, it is very difficult to interpret and application of the term advanced in Veterinary Science and medicine.

To present and include all the aspects of veterinary science (animal science), veterinary medicine and technology with ‘One Health’ aspects, there is a need of a comprehensive title of a journal that includes all concerned aspects and that is why, the ‘JVMOHR’ title has been selected to cover all the aspects of national, international, elementary, advanced, science, health, husbandry, production, biomedical, animal welfare, technology, research, education, extension, clinical practice, disease, hosts (animals & birds), resources, zoonoses, public health, food safety, archive and all other related aspects.
