• When input from a new journal -not listed in IAEA-INIS-11 (INIS List of Journal Titles)

• INIS needs the following information:• a photocopy of the cover page of the journal

• any other pages with publishing information• showing title, and if available, ISSN or CODEN

• If new journal has no ISSN or CODEN:• INIS will contact the ISSN International (France)

• for ISSN assignment• Chemical Abstracts Service (USA)

• for CODEN assignment• obtain new code on behalf of your centreNote: ISSN assignment is free of charge for ALL

• when code is assigned - records enter into INIS Collection
