Roger A. Lippert, 78, of Palm Coast, FL and formerly of New Cumberland, died Thursday at his residence.

Born December 29, 1936 in St. Louis, Roger was the son of the late Lester and Mary (Crawford) Lippert. He was a senior logistics analyst for the New Cumberland Army Depot for nearly 30 years before retiring to Palm Coast in 1998.

Roger served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War, and was a regular volunteer for the Wounded Warrior Project in Jacksonville, FL.

He was a member of Palm Coast United Methodist Church and Belle Terre Swim & Racquet Club. His best times were spent with family and friends on his boat, “Carmen.” An avid outdoorsman, Roger enjoyed hunting, boating, swimming, fishing, tennis and golf. He also loved to attend Nascar races at Daytona International Speedway, where he could be heard cheering on his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Roger was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley (Hayes) Lippert, a brother, David M. Lippert, and a sister, Diane L. Grant.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Nancy (Corwin) Lippert of Palm Coast; his children, James R. Lippert and his wife Dawn of Linglestown, Michael A. Lippert of Bethesda, MD, Sherri L. Blanton and her husband Keith of New Cumberland, Stacy L. Montgomery and her husband John of Camp Hill, and stepsons Benjamin D. Corwin and his wife Christine of Harrisburg, and Paul A. Corwin and his wife Michele of Carmel, NY; two sisters, Anita Bardley of Florissant, MO and Leslie Sherman of Bunnell, FL; seven grandchildren, Cody Lippert, Madison Lippert, Sophia Blanton, Sarah Blanton, Bryan Montgomery, JD Corwin and Alissa Corwin.

There will be a visitation from 7 to 9 pm on Monday March 2 at Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Rd S, Flagler Beach, FL 32136. Services will begin at 10:00 am on Tuesday with burial and military honors to follow at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens in Flagler Beach.
