Day 1: South Africa – Rome, Italy Departure from South Africa on your overnight flight to Rome, Italy. Day 2: Arrive Rome Arriving in this magnificent city, meet your guide at the airport before you transfer by coach to your accommodation and check in. Once you have checked in you will be given your Metro passes which are valid for the next two days. This afternoon you will have a guided half day tour of Ancient Rome that will include a visit and entrance to the mighty Colosseum, and the Roman Forum. Return to your accommodation for the night. Day 3: Rome This morning we will enjoy a guided tour of the Vatican City and the Vatican Museums, being among the greatest museums in the world. You will then see the Sistine Chapel, which has been frescoed by the greatest Renaissance artists including especially Michelangelo. Then be amazed by the Basilica of St. Peter’s, the most renowned work of Renaissance architecture. Rest of the day is at leisure. Keep exploring the city and its hidden corners or visit typical local street markets or famous local “Gelateria” Ice Cream shops. Day 4: Rome – Florence Depart Rome this morning and head through Tuscany on to the City of Lillies – Florence. Enjoy a guided walking tour of this historic city. View attractions including the Duomo, the Baptistery, Giotto’s Bell Tower, Piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio. After your city tour transfer to the Galleria dell' Accademia the see the famous Statue of David. Day 5: Maranello – Milan Enjoy an early breakfast and get the day started. Begin your journey, headed for Maranello – home of Ferrari. Here, enjoy a guided tour of the Ferrari Museum. After exploring the world of high- octane precision engineering, enjoy some lunch (own account) and then continue on to the city of Milan. Day 6: Milan – Chamonix After Breakfast this morning you will transfer to Chamonix, stopping along the way at the breathtaking Auguille du Midi! Here you will take a cable car ride up the Aiguille du Midi to an elevation of 3842m, a mountain in the Mont Blanc massif in the French Alps for a spectacular view of the Mont Blanc itself as well as France and Switzerland! This evening check into your accommodation and enjoy this beautiful town, Chamonix, at leisure for the rest of the evening. Day 7: Chamonix - Paris Enjoy breakfast, thereafter transfer to Paris. Enjoy a half-day of guided sightseeing! Starting at the Place de la Concorde, with its great obelisk transfered to Paris in 1831, when Louis XVI, Marie Antonoinette, Danton and Robespierre were guillotined. You pass through the Champs Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe, which dominates the Place Charles de Gaulle, which is the heart of Paris: all the streets of the Place, which are arranged radially, converge to this extraordi- nary monument. Continue to the Eiffel Tower, the main symbol of the city.Here you will enjoy the glittering Global icon (admission to the second level).
